Starlight families from South Australia were treated to a splash-tacular day out at The Beachouse in Glenelg, as they celebrated the annual Starlight Extravaganza! The sun shone and the skies were blue, so the kids were in the mood for some serious splashing!
250 Starlight children and their families arrived bright and early for their day of water-park fun and arcade games. Families were free to wander and socialise throughout the park where they got to enjoy the giant slides, play mini-golf, ride the beautiful old carousel and challenge Captain Starlight in the water bumper cars.
The kids then had fun soaking all the Captain Starlights with their water guns! Luckily, it was a beautiful warm day summer's day so their silver capes dried in no time!
After all that fun, it was time for some arts and crafts in the amazing Starlight tent. There were lots of Christmas-themed happy snaps in the super cool photo booth and of course, a delicious lunch for all those hungry tummies.
After lunch, the families headed home off with their special goodie bags and many happy memories from the day. These Starlight Extravaganzas are fun-filled days which give kids and families a much need break from hospital and treatment, so a HUGE thank you to each and every one of our supporters, and those who helped make SA Starlight Extravaganza 2016 so spectacular!
