Thank you for all the warm birthday greetings yesterday.  I had a great day – was up early, had brunch with Pam (my upline) and ended the day with an amazing dinner at Annie’s Thai Castle, my favorite restaurant in Atlanta.  It’s the place we go for any celebration.  I didn’t have cake this year – opted for pecan pie.  Yum!  We didn’t have pecan pie at Thanksgiving this year, so maybe it was on my mind.  If you didn’t enjoy my Birthday Parade of Cards or didn’t get to enter my Blog Candy Giveaway, please be sure to join in by clicking here.

It’s always fun when several unrelated elements come together on one card.  Today’s project uses some of my favorite items – and a couple of them are currently on sale in Stampin’ Up!’s Year-End Closeout Sale.  Here’s my card:

Tips, Tricks and Reminders

Products on Sale.  So, which of these awesome products are on sale?  Let’s start with the paper – this Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack is one of my all-time favorites.  Not only is the paper retiring at the end of the year (or when it sells out), but it’s currently 50% OFF (from $10 to $5).  The paper is filled with some of the best designs that are versatile for all times of the year.  The fun circular design behind the circles is from the Swirly Scribbles Framelits Dies – while they are in the Annual Catalog and will still be available after the Holiday Catalog ends, they are on sale as part of the Year-End Closeout sale (marked down from $27 to $18.90).  What a deal!  While the Stitched with Cheer photopolymer stamp set is not offered at a discount right now, it will be retired at the end of December or when it’s sold out.  Still, the Stitched with Cheer Project Kit that coordinates with the stamp set is marked from $24 to $14.40.  Woo hoo!

Switching it Up.  This project is one of my Christmas card designs this year.  Because there are so many great sweater-like patterns in the stack, it was easy to mix them up.  I also alternated between the Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green papers, switching up the borders on each.  Same layout, same Crumb Cake base, same Whisper White border, same sentiment and same Swirly Scribbles accent.  The sentiment is cropped with a Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies – these were introduced in November but quickly sold out.  They should be back in orderable status in January.

Layer Measurements.  Every once in a while, I like to share the size of the layers on my cards – think of it as my gift to you.  I always feel so accomplished when I play with paper to find the sizes that work for me, but every once in a while I share the measurements (even though that takes away the fun for you, right?).  Here are the layers, from the base to the top.
