{{Quote|An improved second-generation detector. Despite its relatively high price, this detector is favored by seasoned stalkers for its user-friendly interface, reliability, and remarkable efficiency|In-game description}}

The Veles returns as the best detector in the game, and is now functionally an upgrade of the Svarog from ''Call of Pripyat''. Compared to past versions of the Veles and the Svarog, it has a display that shows artifacts and anomalies, but unlike the Svarog shows the radius of anomalies, and their type - gravity, chemical, electro, etc. Compared to the small white and green dots displayed by the Svarog, this makes navigating through anomalies even easier.
