Emerson Hyndman will undergo a medical on Monday ahead of joining Rangers on loan from Bournemouth until the end of the the season.

The 20-year-old midfielder arrived in Glasgow on Sunday ahead of his medical with the Ibrox club.

Hyndman has struggled to make an impression at Bournemouth since joining Fulham as a free agent in the summer, and is now making the move to Rangers in search of first team opportunities.

Regarded as one of the brightest young talents in the American game, Hyndman has two international caps to his name, also captaining the USA at the 2015 Under 20 World Cup.

Hyndman will be Rangers' first signing of the January transfer window, with Mark Warburton looking to add to his squad.

Goalkeeper Matt Gilks is close to leaving Rangers, with the 34-year-old set to join Wigan Athletic on loan.
