Profile Summary I am a highly motivated Aerospace Engineering graduate who is masters level educated, speaks multiple languages and has experience in Propulsion Systems, Systems Engineering, Mathematical Modelling and Robotics. My career goal is to become an expert in Spacecraft Propulsion Systems and work on developing the next generation of rocket engines. I am currently seeking to join a smallmediumsized space sector company on a challenging project where I can make a difference by bringing added value to the company and developing multidisciplinary skills while working on different parts of the business. Relevant Skills Propulsion Systems On the masters thesis I have worked on designing a bipropellant engine for a first stage of a launcher. Computational software such as Matlab and Rocket Propulsion Analysis RPA have been used in order to estimate engine performance and Solidworks to design engine parts. I have gained expertise in fuel tank design, engine design, nozzle design, cooling and others. Assembly Testing During my time at university I have been involved in a series of experiments such as wind tunnel testing of aerofoils, measuring flight test data on aircraft and on my final year project I have worked on designing an UAV where I have assembled the robot from 3D printed components and designed a series of experiments for the robot using load cells, weights and other equipment in order to obtain data which had the role to feed into MatlabSimulink models I developed or to validate the mentioned models. On the Tohoku University Robotics Summer school I have participated in a Space Robotics team project where I have successfully managed to integrate sensors, such as a time of flight camera, with the mechanical robot structure, which resulted in an autonomous rover which could navigate across an obstacle course. Systems Engineering My masters degree placed emphasis on Systems Engineering. I have learned theoretically how a systems engineer works in the aerospace sector and took this knowledge into practice through two group projects where I have successfully contributed to designing space missions, and the master thesis where I designed a liquid propulsion system. I have gained experience in coordinating different teams, extracting the requirements and using the engineering VModel. Mathematical Modelling and Simulations I have successfully modelled complex systems both in the academic and work environments. These systems included aircraft, spacecraft, robots and financial models. The tools that I use to model systems are initially pen and paper where I write a rough model, after which I shall use Microsoft Excel for simple models or Matlab, Simulink and other computational software for more advanced models. Design I have designed various components such as aircraft wings, ailerons, landing gear, rocket propellant tanks, rocket stages and others using Solidworks. I have also taken lessons in CATIA and have a good working knowledge of it. Ansys has been used to perform finite element analysis on most of the designs. I have also been trained on performing Thermal Analysis in ESATAN. IT I have written technical engineering reports using Microsoft Word and LATex. During my time at Airbus and in University I have prepared presentations on aircraft related topics using Microsoft Power Point. I have been responsible for maintaining Microsoft Access and Excel databases and with data processing and analysis. My coding abilities include C, having studied it for two years at college and Python, having taken courses online on it . Management Team work I enjoy working in teams, having worked and lead several projects both in university and the work environment. I am good at collaborating with my peers, making use of cloud computing, emails, phone, organising meetings and planning the project targets and deadlines. In the last 5 years I have been used to working on tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Education MSc. Astronautics and Space Engineering at Cranfield University 20142015 This course has offered me a comprehensive knowledge of Space Engineering placing emphasis on Systems Engineering. I have studied as core modules Space Communications, Space Systems Engineering, Space Propulsion, Astrodynamics and Mission Analysis and Multivariable Control for Aerospace Applications. Along with these another 9 non core modules were studied. The masters included a group project called Commercial Asteroid Mining Mission where I have been in responsible for the Systems Engineering Operations work package. On this work package, I have managed to successfully extract the mission requirements, create a mission timeline and coordinate five work packages which resulted in a great space mission design, which has received good feedback from academics and industry representatives. The research component of the degree has been the thesis where I have worked in collaboration with a startup company and studied the various ways in which a low cost engine can be developed for a small payload launcher using technologies present in the UK and Europe. The thesis has equipped me with an extensive knowledge of liquid propulsion systems and helped me improve research and systems engineering skills. During the degree I have been selected to participate in a Robotics Summer School at Tohoku University in Japan. Modules have been taken on the latest developments in robotics and I have participated in a group project in the Space Robotics Lab, where I contributed to designing a rover used for space exploration. I have also been involved in a competition organised by the Institute For Interstellar Studies called Project Dragonfly, where I have worked as a systems engineer at designing an interstellar spacecraft that would use solar sail technology and would be able to reach the Alpha Centauri star system within a century. This project has been done in an international team with students from the UK, the US and Russia, and the team came in second place. BEngHons Aeronautical Engineering at University of Salford achieved First Class Honours 20102014 The bachelors degree has equipped me with general engineering skills and aerospace engineering skills. I have studied the following modules Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Aircraft Performance, Flight Engineering Dynamics, Flight Control Control Engineering, Structural Mechanics and Finite Element Analysis FEA, CAD Drawings Product Engineering, Mathematics, Aircraft Structures Engineering Materials, Software Engineering. The Group Project Aircraft Design Enterprise has taught me about the general process of designing an aircraft while working in a team and placing focus both on the technical and business aspects that a successful aircraft designer needs to consider. On the Final Year Project Balloon bot from concept to design dynamic modelling, testing and stability analysis I have gained valuable research skills while reviewing hundreds of academic papers and writing a comprehensive technical report. The technical tasks performed involved the mathematical modelling of an autonomous helium balloon robot. I became proficient in the MATLABSimulink environment while creating a computer simulation of the systems behaviour. Furthermore I have worked with a team at designing the robot, 3D printing the components and assembling them, after which I designed a series of experiments which confirmed the validity of my simulations. Additional Certificates Advanced Spacecraft Propulsion Workshop from Stellar Engines Ltd Obtained November 2015 Flight Test Course Certificate from University of Salford Cranfield University Obtained April 2012 edX Verified Certificate for Space Mission Design and Operations from cole polytechnique fdrale de Lausanne Obtained April 2016 TESP Robotics Summer School 2015 from Tohoku University Obtained August 2015 eDX Verified Certificate for Marketing1x Introduction to Marketing from University of British Columbia Obtained July 2016 Work Experience Quality Engineer at Airbus Operations Ltd in Bristol, UK 2015 Present I am currently working as an engineering consultant for Alten Ltd.
