Rest assured our knowledgeable buyers have been out scouring the world looking for luxury fashion brands that have a point of difference from the high street, bringing originality seen in directional shapes, texture and the use of luxury fabrics to get you excited.
At Fenwick we pride ourselves in having a fantastic team of buyers who endeavour to select a mix of product that will tick the boxes of our customer’s fashion needs and wishes. From Contemporary designer labels, Fast fashion brands taking the trends straight off the catwalk to a mix of Lifestyle brands that offer great collections of stylish everyday wear.
It is always so exciting to see the first collections drop, like little stories of colour, texture and detail.
So what will you see this season? I hear you asking. There will be some key trends that will stand out. From high-necked frilly collars to pussy bow necklines; crop tops to elongated tunics; wide legged draping trousers, the skinny jean and also cropped pants skimming just above the ankle. Wraparound jersey shapes and asymmetric skirts create interesting shapes; whilst in outerwear you will see faux fur trimmed parkas, shearling coat s and shorter styles, quilted jackets, biker style jackets in leather and snazzy suede, oversized cocoon shapes with sloping shoulders and the Emperors coat grazing the floor.
THE COLOUR EDIT:
The colour palette for autumn starts with black and all shades of grey, great staples that work so well with the mix of spicy mustard seed, kale green nuances, chalky flesh skin tones, a Jabulous warm judge shade, cerulean blue and finally a rich Merlot red and the deepest purple adding depth, seduction and drama to your winter wardrobe.
In fabrics and detailing, there will be light sheer fabrics in blouses, fringing detail on knits and suede, weather worn fabrics showing signs of distress in burnout prints; shiny fabrics intensifying a look and this season checks and velvet get a modern twist.
While the overall look remains quite casual, think of opulent luxury fabrics, sumptuous cozy cocoon knits in cashmere, mohair and alpaca seen in rollneck, hooded sweaters and knitted dresses and lush draping velvet and tapestry patterns creating the allure of a cold Russian winter.
I think they say in film, that’s a wrap! I think at Fenwick we do have the autumn season wrapped up and we hope you will enjoy coming into store t o enjoy the fun of shopping, the sensory experience of touching, feeling, experimenting and having our style experts on hand to help you with your selections.
