You can’t turn on the television or go to a movie theater without seeing it being dominated by DC Comics. Most of my week of television is dedicated to watching 4 different DC titles on The CW. They all seem to work and blend together because the characters are so strong. The DC Cinematic Universe is also upping its game with Wonder Woman and Justice League coming out in the next year or so. It only makes sense that DC would jump further into mobile gaming to get their heroes out there with the new mobile game DC Legends.
DC is undeniably one of the most, if not the most, popular and successful super hero franchises that exist. It’s not only being exploited in huge cinematic productions like the recent Suicide Squad, but also in many video games available on different platforms.
The transition from the comics to great gaming productions is truly praiseworthy. And we can see examples of this in the well-polished MMO DC Universe Online and even in online casino games based on their characters, such as the online Batman slots games available on PC, a very surprising yet nice mix of betting and superheroes. So there’s no doubt we will keep getting new video game releases from them, one of which is the main subject of this article, DC Legends.
The new game is available for iOS and Android, so you will not have any problems if you have one and not the other. One of the most exciting things about the game is that it’s an RPG (Role Playing Game). You get to create your own elite gang of heroes to take on Nekron. He’s a villain who can control all the souls that have ever died, ever. I could see a scenario where Nekron could totally mess with Batman using that power.
DC Legends has a story mode for when you want to see where the game takes you, but it also has a multi-player mode so you can face other people online. The better you and your heroes do against others, the higher you’ll rise in rank.
