Philly Ad Club and PRSA Philly’s Women in Advertising seminar will take place on February 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Philadelphia Auto Show. The evening, hosted by the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia will begin as a networking event, which will be followed by a panel that includes women who work in advertising, public relations and marketing.
“Students should attend because it’s a great networking opportunity,” said Dana Saewitz, a member of Philly Ad Club’s board of governors. “It’s an opportunity for students to see powerful and talented women in advertising who are making a difference,” she said.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from six professionals in the advertising and public relations community. Panelists will touch on their experiences, challenges they faced and give advice on how to become successful.
Dr. Heather LaMarre of the Strategic Communication Department will moderate the event. Panelists include:
Erin Allsman: senior vice president and public relations and social media director at the Brownstein Group
Karen Clarke: vice president of Strategic Marketing and Communications at Temple University
Cathy Engel Menendez: director of communications at PECO
Kate Shields: president of Vault Communications
Alexandra von Plato: group president, North America, at Publicis Healthcare Communications Group
Denise Williams: director of strategic marketing and business development at Goodman Marketing Partners
Anyone interested in attending can RSVP on Philly Ad Club’s website or at PRSA Philly’s website. Tickets are $40 for Philly Ad Club student members and for PRSA student members. Tickets are $65 for all other attendees. All attendees will receive free tickets to the Philadelphia Auto Show. Attendees can also buy tickets at the door from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
