Do not wait any longer and check out a publication recently launched by the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, an EU initiative that brings together local and regional authorities committed to implementing EU climate and energy objectives on their territories.
Titled ‘Sustainable, Climate-resilient and Vibrant Cities: Good Practices from Covenant of Mayors Signatories’, the report collects real examples of climate change mitigation and adaptation from European cities. Its objective is to present and highlight best practices carried out by Covenant of Mayors signatories’ cities.
The cases are arranged according to five thematic challenges:
Improving the energy performance and resilience of buildings, with examples of Hanover (Germany) and Umea (Sweden)
Managing water flows, with examples of Glasgow (UK) and Isola Vicentina (Italy)
Facilitating sustainable mobility, with examples of Larnaca (Cyprusm) and Zagreb (Croatia)
Renaturing urban spaces, with examples of Lisbon (Portugal) and Bologna (Italy)
Managing urban growth, with examples of Vienna (Austria) and Barcelona (Spain)
