This craft makes a great gift for Grandparents, Parents or Just Because you want to hang it in your home! My little one found it on the table and decided to take it to her piano this morning and play for it! I had to capture this picture!
I felt like this craft was the perfect “length” for the attention span of my little 18 month old! She loves to “paint” and it was really not messy at all so that’s always a plus!
What you need: 5×7 canvas (or any size you wish), clothes pin, cotton balls, paint, foam/sticker heart

Step by Step:
Prep your Canvas by placing a heart in the center. I used a foam heart but you could use a sticker, contact paper etc. Anything that will stick to it and keep that section from getting paint on it.
Take a clothes pin and place a cotton ball in it.
Dip your cotton ball in the paint and let them dab it around on the canvas. There is no particulars here…let them enjoy it. After they have gone around with that color, change the cotton ball and dip in a new color.
Once you have gone through each color, let it dry.
When it’s dry remove your heart sticker
Take a black permanent marker and write on your canvas, if you wish!

TIP: for your young toddlers – as a parent go ahead and take one color and fully dab it around the heart so it will make a definite shape once you take off the sticker!
