Actor-producer RK Suresh, who played the antagonist in Thaarai Thappattai and Marudhu, will reportedly play the villain in Vikram’s 53rd film directed by Vijay Chandar. Suresh made the announcement on Twitter.

Shooting for the film began on February 10, and actor Vikram is said to join the sets soon after wrapping up a schedule of Gautham Vasudev Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram. Sai Pallavi of Premam (2015) fame, who was signed on as the female lead, opted out of the film due to production delays. Reports suggest that Tamannaah Bhatia has now replaced her.
Said to be a gangster film set in north Chennai, the cast includes Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan and Radha Ravi. Actor Soori, known for his comedy, is also likely to be a part of the film. Thaman scores music.
