If you work for the NHS – or, more accurately, have NHS ID – BPme Rewards is currently making it very attractive to visit BP garages for your petrol or diesel.

Anyone who can show an NHS idea at the till receives 20 times the normal level of BPme Rewards points.  This is the biggest bonus, of any sort, I can ever remember any mainstream retailer promotion.

The offer runs until 5th July, so you have three weeks left to take part.

Here are two examples from the BPme website.

Purchases of regular BP fuel earn 1 point (worth 0.5p) per litre.  Under this offer, you will earn 20 points (worth 10p) per litre.  With petrol currently costing around £1.07 per litre, you are getting almost 10% of your spending back.

Purchases in shops attached to BP garages usually earn 1 point (0.5p) per £1, for a very dull 0.5% return.  Under this offer, you will receive 20 points for every £1 spent in the shop – which means 10% back.

BP Ultimate fuel earns double points (2 per £1) so you’d be earning a whopping 40 BPme Rewards points per litre under this offer.  This means you’re getting 20p of points of every litre of BP Ultimate fuel you buy.

There are three ways of redeeming your points:

In-store for fuel or shop purchases

Online for gift vouchers from partners such as M&S and Amazon

From the online BPme Rewards catalogue

This is a very generous deal from BP and it is worth taking part if you are an NHS employee.  You can find out more, including how to sign up for BPme Rewards, on this page of the BPme Rewards website.
