Now that 2019 is winding down, here’s a short report for you to read. Bear in mind that not everyone will agree with this report, but that’s just how it is in life.
Anyway, here we go!
The movie of the year is: “Avengers: Endgame”. (No surprise there, folks!) It was the biggest movie in history, as well as the movie that FINALLY took Avatar off the top of the box office list. A closer second is Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home. (Looks like it’s a good year to be a Marvel fan.)
Honorable Mentions: Shazam, Aladdin, The Lion King, and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. (Sounds like it’s good to be a Disney fan
Yet, the worst movie is: Well, it’s not a movie, per se, but Season 8 Episode 6 of “Game of Thrones” was the WORST ending to a great series on HBO. Shame on them; I had expected better from one of the best shows on TV.
The book you needed to read this year is: “The Testaments” by Margaret Atwood, which was the sequel to “The Handmaid’s Tale”. Yet, it was also voted the worst book of 2019. Go figure.
And your favorite song was…you will absolutely hate me for saying this, but “Baby Shark” by Pinkfong was the song of the year. This is what the world has come to.
