Christchurch, New Zealand, March 23: Aloysa Atienza signed off from the Queen Sirikit Cup with her week’s best score of even-par 72 for a tied-10th finish at the Clearwater Golf Club on Saturday.
The 25-year-old posted rounds of 76, 74, 73 and 72 for a four-day total of seven-over-par 295 to end the week 12 shots behind individual champion Oh Soomin from South Korea, who carded a final round 65 for a winning total of 283.
Atienza, together with Jaymie Ng and Hailey Loh represented Singapore, where the Republic finished in eighth place (601) in the team event- also won by South Korea. Ng compiled rounds of 80, 74, 77 and 77 for a tied-24th finish while Loh was in tied-30th place following a 312 total.
15 of the top 200 women in the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), representing 12 countries and territories from the Asia-Pacific region, were in action at the Queen Sirikit Cup, which was celebrating its 44th edition.
