Nintendo has confirmed that Super Mario Odyssey will appear at E3 2017.

The Switch reveal event brought us many new things to the world of Nintendo, but lacked on some concrete details for some of their titles. Speaking at the Nintendo Switch event in New  York, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime gave some insight into how they planned some of the announcements around the Switch Event and E3 2017. Reggie said that Nintendo did consider letting attendees at this weekends events try out Super Mario Odyssey, but decided to wait until June.

“The only decision that was made from an E3 consideration standpoint was ‘do we show Super Mario Odyssey from a hands-on perspective today versus E3?’ And we’re going to show it at E3...But at least from a Nintendo perspective, there’s no other consideration that is driven by E3.”

Super Mario Odyssey, announced last night at the Nintendo Switch reveal is due to arrive before the end of this year. The Nintendo Treehouse Live stream from New York saw Mario Creator Shigeru Miyamoto sharing a few new details as well, calling it "something a little bit more on the core side" and also noted that Nintendo "made sure the camera controls are really smooth and easy to use."

Again, Super Mario Odyssey will release Holiday 2017 for Nintendo Switch.
