Canada
From the Maritime provinces to British Columbia, our country is filled with unexpected wonders that are sure to awaken the inner explorer in you. Vancouver Island is ranked as one of the world’s best islands to visit by most travel publications. From Victoria, B.C.s’ historic capital to the rugged wilderness around Tofino “The Island” as it is known locally has one of the world’s most diverse ecosystems, rainforests, marshes, meadows, beaches, mountains, oceans, rivers, and lakes. This diversity provides habitats for a huge variety of wildlife species and so visitors are assured a wide range of opportunities to experience spectacular natural beauty and wildlife viewing such as Grizzly Bear Watching in a region known as the Great Bear Rainforest. We offer many tours in Canada, however the highlight this year will be our 10 day “Vancouver Island – featuring Grizzlies, Whales, and First Nations” tour.
Provence, France
Wineries and medieval hilltop towns have been luring travelers to Provence for years. Cypress trees, red-tile roofs, the screech of cicadas and the scent of wild thyme and lavender. Oleanders bloom against a backdrop of austere, sun-filled landscapes, the very same that inspired the Post-Impressionists. You can enjoy 14 glorious days walking on beautiful, marked trails which showcase the unspoiled parts of Provence on our “Walking in Provence and the French Riviera” tour.
Iceland
The land with the chilly name evokes an image of vast ice and snow fields but in fact Iceland has a remarkably moderate climate with fjords, glaciers, active volcanoes, black lava fields, red Sulphur, hot blue geysers, waterfalls and deep green valleys, all with a backdrop of mountains, ice-capped ranged and towering cliffs. Iceland was the last European country to be settled when it was discovered by the British and Scandinavians more than 1,000 years ago, and, although Icelanders have preserved much of their Norse and Celtic heritage most of them speak English. Today the country is a modern society which boasts one of the highest standards of living and education in the world.
India
This incredible country has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It is a feast for all your senses and a vivid kaleidoscope of magnificent historical sites and royal cities, medieval forts and palaces, golden beaches, misty mountains, colourful people, lively festivals and a rich culture. From the moment you set foot in India you will be greeted by a graceful Namaste – a warm and inviting gesture that denotes both welcome and respect. Our program includes a number of “real India” experiences as well as the major highlights of Mumbai, Udaipur, Jaipur, Taj Mahal in Agra, Varanasi and the bustling capital of Delhi.
Laos
This tiny land-locked country blanketed with jungle, blue terraced waterfalls, centuries old golden stupas and crumbling temples has always been overshadowed by its famous neighbours and isolated from the world, but that changed when President Obama set foot there a year ago. Because it remains untouched by the stress of modern demands you will experience there a laid-back, simpler way of life. Much of Laos’s beauty lay in the peacefulness and warmth of the people who have lived much the same way for hundreds of years.
Jerusalem
Is the capital of Israel and the Holy Land to millions of Jews, Christians and Muslims where every stone tells a wondrous story of a city that has drawn millions of faithful pilgrims for thousands of years. History can be heard in the whispering of the wind along the walls. This is where King David ruled, Jesus died and Muhammad visited and it is the only city that appears at the center of the world in old maps.
Ecuador
This land of contrasts with incredible beauty and very friendly people. The magnificent landscape of the Andes Mountains, the intense biodiversity of the Amazon jungle and the delightful Pacific coastline all combine to tantalize visitors, so it is no surprise that Ecuador is emerging as one of the most popular tourist destinations in South America. The fact that it is a very affordable holiday doesn’t hurt! Our fall tour departing November 7-20th will be hosted by Chris Robinson, celebrity host of the Travel Show on Zoomer Radio. Chris brings his boundless passion for travel to his weekly broadcasts on Zoomer Radio. Share in his enthusiasm on this amazing voyage of discovery in Ecuador.
Hawaii
Often dubbed the tropical paradise Hawaii’s most special feature is the “Aloha Spirit” you will find in the warmth of the Hawaiian people. Each Hawaiian island has its own distinct personality and offers its own unique attractions. On our 3-island Hawaiian tour we will experience 3 of them, Oahu, Maui and Kauai. Oahu, the state’s most populated island is full of rich, historical sites and a near endless supply of scenic beauty and exciting activities to enjoy. Maui – the “Valley Isle” is designated the World’s Best island to visit with 30 miles of black, red and white sand beaches and Kauai the “Garden Isle” is the most lush of the islands with breathtaking scenery of emerald valleys, sharp mountain spires and cascading waterfalls.
Tanzania
Is the largest country in East Africa and considered by many to offer the best game viewing on the continent and the greatest variety of wildlife in the world. On our 15 safari in Tanzania and Zanzibar we will enjoy a number of game drives in the finest National Parks and game reserves where you can expect to see rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffalos and the common plains game such as zebra, giraffe, a variety of bird life and several species of antelope and money. We will travel safely and comfortably in specially designed 4 x 4 vehicles seating 6 people with large viewing windows. The driver/guides are experts on the local customs, traditions and wildlife tracking.
Wales
Wales offers a myriad of opportunities to escape into nature. It may not be wild in the classic sense but there are plenty of corners to explore, lurking behind mountains, within river valleys and along surf-battered cliffs. Castles are also an inescapable part of the Welsh landscape. Some watch over the mountain passes while others keep an eye on the city traffic whirling by; some lie in enigmatic ruins, while others still have families living in them. The United Kingdom is the quintessential destination for rambling and walking holidays and Wales boasts an extensive network of paths which makes it a hiker’s paradise.
