Hey there my crafty friends, I hope that you’re enjoying a nice, relaxing Sunday. I have some fun projects to share, so feel free to sit back, relax, and soak up the inspiration. And how about breaking out the crock pot and let it cook dinner for you? You’re going to love this satisfying one pot meal that I want to share with you. With only 20 minutes to prep and four hours in the crock pot, you’ll have a fabulous answer to the question “What’s for dinner?”

Happy Birthday My Friend

There are so many things that attracted me to this gorgeous, shabby chic birthday card. Let’s start with the warm, earthy colors of the kraft paper and the creamy tones combined with the beautiful background paper from the Correspondence Collection from Meg’s Garden. If you love using patterned paper with vintage handwriting and distressed edges in your designs, this is one paper collection that will be on your “need-to-have” list. Click here and I will take you over to check it out; it’s a bit hard to find and I wouldn’t want you to get lost.

The inside of this card is just as perfect as the outside. I don’t know about you, but I must confess that I don’t typically put as much detail into the inside of my cards as I could. This card has really inspired me to work on giving the inside the love that it deserves.

Now that you know where to find this amazing collection, you’ll want to be sure and stop by Heather’s blogs Art and Life, Art and Sole, and also Meg’s Garden. You are sure to leave totally inspired to start that next project.

Enchanted Bookmarks

If you’re an avid reader like me, you can never have too many bookmarks on hand! How many times have you ripped of the top of something to save your spot? Shannon used the In Other Words Read Stamp Set by Taylored Expressions to stamp the fun sentiment and she used Taylored Expressions Banner Stacklets 2 Die Set to create the perfect layers. You’ll be happy to know this set comes in seven different sizes.

These adorable bookmarks are so fun and easy to make you might want to make several. They really make a sweet little teacher’s gift, fun for the kids to use in their school books, not to mention you are going to need some for yourself and your crafty friends. I recommend stopping by Shannon’s blog Enchanted Ladybug Creations where she has a detailed supply list as well as some great tips and techniques. Happy Stampin’!

Love My Cats Mini Album

Our pets are an important part of the family, so why shouldn’t they have their own album? If you’re like me, you are constantly taking pictures of your furry friends, so it’s time to get them off your phone and/or camera and into an album. After all, they do the cutest things and they don’t protest when you want to snap their pictures, unlike our children. How often have you heard “Mom, not another picture!” (We are scrapbookers, they should understand that we NEED lots of pictures. )

I hope this beautiful mini album has inspired you to create a special album for your furry friends. Be sure to stop by the Pion Design blog and check out all the fine details that Teresa has incorporated into this gorgeous album. Wait until you see how Teresa has all her photos in black and white; they really look amazing with Pion Designs shabby chic collections.

Artsy Upcycled Coasters

Do you share a passion for recycling everyday objects and turning them into new works of art? There is something to be said about taking an item that you would typically throw away and transforming it into something this is both beautiful and useful.

Just in case you don’t have a set of old outdated coasters like Linda, check out your local thrift stores, garage sales and your local craft stores, especially after the holidays when holiday merchandise is 75% off. Who cares if they have “Happy Ground Hog Day” written on them, because you are going to make them beautiful! They also make a cute little gift, so if you see them at a good price you might want to pick up a few. You know when your crafty friends see them they, too, will want to join in the upcycling. Visit for the Imagine Crafts blog for all the details on how to create these little beauties. Have fun turning unwanted items into treasure!

Slow Cooker Meatball Minestrone

What’s not to love about a dinner that takes only 20 minutes to prep? You can walk away and four hours later you have an amazing home cooked meal that your family will love. If you haven’t yet bonded with your slow cooker this might be a good time to break it out. It can be your best friend.

Doesn’t this look delicious, a real comfort food, perfect for these chilly nights we’ve been having lately. Add a loaf of crusty bread and you are good to go; all that’s left is to sit back, enjoy, and let the compliments roll in.  Click here and I will take you over to visit Neighbor Food Blog where Courtney has a great printable recipe; you’re going to need it because you will want to make this again. Bon appetit!

Thanks for spending a bit of your Sunday with me, I hope you’ve been inspired to begin that next project! Looking forward to seeing you back next Sunday or if you happen to be in the Orlando area next week (March 6&7) I would love to meet you at the Scrapbook Expo where I host the Creativity Center. Come join me for a fun (did I mention FREE) and fabulous make and take project.
