As you all know, Joint Admission Test is conducted for those brilliant students who outstand themselves to pursue M.Sc. or Integrated Ph.D or other PG courses from IIT’s and IISc.
The exam is conducted in seven subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Biotechnology and Biological Science. Each paper has to be completed in 3 hours’ time duration.
*Note - A candidate can appear in either one or two test papers subject to the restrictions of test schedule given below and by paying an additional fee for the second test paper.

The application fee can be paid either online or through e-challan (additional transaction charges may apply). In case, a candidate chooses to pay through e-challan, then the payment should be made in cash at any branch of the bank mentioned in the e-challan latest by October 2017.

Selection Criteria
The candidates must obtain at least 55% aggregate marks without rounding off (for General/ OBC (NCL) Category candidates) and at least 50% aggregate marks without rounding off (for SC/ ST and PwD Category candidates) in the qualifying degree.
