Genre audio is well represented in the finalists for the 2017 Audie Awards, which will be presented at a gala event in New York in June.

In other categories, Emma Thompson’s reading of Henry James’ The Turn of the Screw is up for Best Female Narrator, while the Best Male Narrator will be chosen from six finalists, including Will Patton for Stephen King’s End of Watch (also nominated for Best Fiction), William DeMeritt for Ben H. Winters’ Underground Airlines, and Luke Daniels for Kevin Hearne’s The Purloined Poodle. Scarlet Johansson’s reading of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland has been nominated in the Literary Fiction and Classics category.
