Washington, D.C. – June 6, 2016

In advance of this week’s official U.S. state visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sannam S4 Group, a leading international market entry firm, today announced the launch of its U.S. headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Founded in 2008, Sannam S4 serves more than 150 prominent global corporations, universities, nonprofits, public sector entities, and trade associations to help them to explore, enter and expand in key overseas markets including India, China, Brazil and the UAE.

Sannam S4’s presence in the U.S. capitol adds to its Los Angeles office, first established in 2013. Sannam S4 Founder and CEO, Adrian Mutton, has relocated to Washington, D.C. to lead the U.S. business, a reflection of the company’s expanded commitment to its rapidly growing U.S. client base and strategic relationships.

With Ken Silverman, Sannam S4’s Head of North America based in Los Angeles, the company provides its clients with full coast-to-coast coverage. Michael Green, newly named Director of Client and Stakeholder Relations who recently joined the firm from the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC), joins Mr. Mutton in the new D.C.- based headquarters. With these additional resources now in place, the firm is better positioned to assist its international clients in entering and doing business in the U.S.

Sannam S4 employs more than 135 professionals globally and provides its clients with a diverse range of market entry and market expansion services including country-specific research, venture validation, strategic planning, due diligence, compliance, accounting & tax, HR & recruitment, and sales channel & business development services.

Sannam S4’s selection of Washington, D.C. for its new U.S. headquarters is also an affirmation of the firm’s commitment to its major initiative, U.S. Business Centers-India (www.USBusinessCenters.com). The Centers, which are specifically focused on providing an America-centric point-of-entry in India for smaller and mid-sized U.S. corporations, as well as U.S. universities, trade associations, and nonprofits launched its first Center in Mumbai in February of this year during the Indian government’s week-long “Make in India” conference and trade expo.  Sannam S4’s Business Centers’ project was first announced in Washington, last September, at the USIBC’s 40th Annual Leadership Summit, in the presence of Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry. It was Secretary Kerry who first highlighted the need for the initiative to be launched while visiting India in 2015. Lead supporters of the U.S. Business Centers include the USIBC, Citibank India, JLL, and Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces.

In making today’s announcement, Mr. Mutton stated, “With Prime Minister Modi’s visit and address to Congress, this week marks yet another milestone for the U.S.-India relationship, and Sannam S4 is now perfectly positioned to facilitate far greater commercial and people-to-people collaboration between the two countries.  In 2015 Sannam S4 experienced annual revenue growth from the U.S. of 30%, and we expect to significantly exceed this in 2016. With the U.S. economy and the dollar being strong, and with U.S. organizations delivering innovative and high quality products and services, and boasting scores of world-class universities, there are tremendous new international expansion opportunities for these U.S. organizations, particularly in India, China, Brazil and the UAE. These nations combined are home to far more than half of the world’s population.”

Mr. Silverman stated, “The opening of our Washington headquarters, and expansion of our America-based team, will provide Sannam S4’s diversified and growing U.S. client base with greatly increased access to company leadership and services. Additionally, the U.S. Business Centers will be of significant added help in achieving the shared goals and commitments of President Obama and Prime Minister Modi. This, specifically, is to reach $500 billion in cross-border trade and investment by 2020. We are well on our way and Sannam S4 is proud to be taking an important leadership role.”

Mr. Green added, “Since joining the company in April, I’ve met with Sannam S4 clients across the U.S.  The feedback I’ve received explains our very high retention rates.  Market entry is not easy.  Clients having a trusted partner and in-country support team providing a wide range of critical services, maximizes their returns and minimizes their risks. This is a major part of what makes us so effective.”

To commemorate the launch of its new U.S. headquarters and as part of the kick-off for the three days of formal events that are part of Prime Minister Modi’s state visit including the USIBC Leadership Summit and Mr. Modi’s address to a joint session of the U.S. Congress, Sannam S4 Group and will also host a reception on Monday evening June 6 in Washington D.C. for leaders representing the U.S. and Indian governments and business communities.
