Youth for Christ strives to emulate Jesus’ example in Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve”. Operation Christmas Child provides an opportunity for your YFC ministry to do just that—engage your youth and community in serving those in need across the globe.
By packing shoeboxes full of toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other simple gifts, you can help bring hope and joy to children in need around the world. Through partnerships with local churches, children who receive shoebox gifts hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and many participate in our follow-up discipleship program, The Greatest Journey, where they learn to follow Christ and share their faith with others.
As you work to bless children overseas, your ministry will experience the joy of serving others and be drawn closer together.
Since 1993, Samaritan's Purse has delivered more than 124 million shoeboxes in over 150 countries. Your Youth for Christ ministry can be a direct part of blessing children through the good news and great joy of gift-filled shoeboxes.

Get Involved
Pack and Assemble
Collect shoeboxes or plastic containers and fill them with gender- and age-appropriate items. If you wrap your shoebox, be sure to wrap the lid separately from the rest of the box. Set a goal for your troop and start collecting today!

Recruit others to join in the fun of packing shoeboxes! Use our step-by-step guide to customize your packing party experience and get free materials.
Volunteer with Operation Christmas Child
Check out opportunities to volunteer with Operation Christmas Child year-round or during the shoebox collection season. In November and December, your ministry can have fun serving together at a shoebox drop-off location or a Processing Center, preparing shoeboxes for overseas shipment.

Contact your Operation Christmas Child regional office to be put in contact with potential speakers, including local volunteers, youth who helped deliver shoebox gifts, and even shoebox recipients.
