According to the brand, Holika Holika Face2Change DoDo Cat Glow Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ is/has:

Featuring a Sparkle Volume Brightener (within the kitty paw): A shiny essence containing brightener which creates glowy and volume for dull skin

Smooth Fine Cover Base: A moisture-full foundation that adheres tightly to the skin when applied, stays consistent and creates a smooth complexion

Contains numerous moisturizing ingredients (eg. Mineral water, Argan oil) that keeps the skin hydrated and moisturized

High adhesion power and long lasting effect

3 functional effects: Whitening + Anti-wrinkle + Sun protection

Below is my experience with the Holika Holika Face2Change DoDo Cat Glow Cushion SPF50+ PA+++:

(A specs-wearing kitty cat? SOLD!)

(The little white paw print with the Sparkle Volume Brightener liquid. Alas, i’ve used one too many times so…yeah..)

(Details, details, details)

(Here’s a writing in eyeliner pencil and powdered eye shadow)

(As you can see from the picture, this cushion does not provide much coverage. It does, however, give the skin a brightening glow. As I fondly call it, a second skin glow)

(A little rating scale for this adorable little kitty cushion)

(Me wearing the DoDo Cat Glow Cushion here. As you can see, the redness of my cheeks and the post-acne marks are still pretty visible)

Personal take

:

I have personally used the brand’s very first Face2Change Cushion back when they first launched it before this and remembered not really liking it because of its tacky and heavy feeling on the skin.

After waiting around and them releasing 3 other cushions later, they surprised us all with this adorable collection in collaboration with Audrey Jeanne. The fact that she drew all the little cutesy cat illustrations (I am especially partial to the specs-wearing kitty cat) and that there is an actual paw print on the foam sponge itself makes this collection a must-get for a cat daddy like me. And so i did. I purchased the cushion, its refill and the zip pouch from their Myeongdong outlet in February when I visited Seoul.

Now, this cushion is extremely lightweight and very hydrating. However, the cushion lacks real coverage and the use of a concealer is highly recommended. Also, the Sparkle Volume Brightener is pretty much insignificant when used. It just does not show up on the skin. In fact, defaulting back to the use of a liquid highlighter or powder highlighter is so much easier and gets the job done faster. Despite saying that, I find that when the BB liquid is mixed with the brightener, it does help to brighten the complexion on the whole.

As a whole, the Holika Holika Face2Change DoDo Cat Glow Cushion have a lovely, dewy finish, and the formula is moisturizing. It wears snuggly for about 6 hours on the average before melting away. If you like the glowy, radiant finish of this cushion, it is best that you pair this with a good primer to extend the wearing time. The dewy glow, the second skin effect, is what makes this cushion loveable. The coverage on the other hand, needs to be work on.

Will i recommend it?

:

Yes, if you have nothing much to conceal.

No, if you are like me, needing something with both coverage and glow on equal parts.
