The 13th edition of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Singapore flagged off on 28 April 2016, at Esplanade Bridge with 14,202 employees from 337 companies gathering for a few hours of fun and fitness with their colleagues.

This year's winners were Jason Lawrence of the Overseas Family School as he reclaimed his crown and Aileen Tan of MOH Holdings winning the women’s title in her debut participation of the race.

Lawrence, 34, who won the race in 17 minutes and 27 seconds, said, “It’s always nice to come in first. I haven’t been training and racing seriously in a long time, but this win indicates that I’m on the way back and on to even better things. I’m so happy to be on the comeback.”

previously won the title three years ago.

Aileen, 29, clinched her first win after reaching the finish line in 22 minutes and 1 second. She said, “Our company runs together all the time and I really enjoy running. The race was fun and fast. It was my first time participating so it was really shocking, surprising and unexpected to come in first.”



Aileen Tan from the Ministry of Health Holdings was the fastest woman at the
J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge earlier this evening. It is the first time the
29 year-old civil servant participated in the 5.6km race.

The Singapore race was part of the global J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series, the world's longest-running corporate sporting event. The race has attracted many company and country leaders including the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu and Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth Baey Yam Keng.

companies at the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge earlier this evening.

Joining the race for the first time, our friends from Team Airfrov are excited to spend an evening with fellow colleagues after work. The captain of the team who is also the co-founder of Airfrov - Cai Li - revealed that the race is a fantastic way for his team to lead a healthy lifestyle and to de-stress after a long day of work.

Launched to encourage a culture of work-life balance in a world that never slows down, the 5.6km J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge race began on the Esplanade Bridge and finished next to the F1 Pit Building at Marina Bay. Waiting at the finishing line was a race village for runners to mingle and network with other participants,further encouraging camaraderie among companies and colleagues.

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Singapore is the second stop of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series in 2016. The Series will next hit Rochester, New York, on 24 May.
