I’m not dissing the obvious charms of the cuties in the photo, but it was taken in Bali, after all, where Aussie gals are not unknown to remove their bikini tops on the various beaches. Neither chick in the pic is going over the top.
And Balinese ladies, within living memory – mine, for a start – traditionally saw nothing wrong with going about bare-breasted…

So what are we to make of the silly fuss about the cuties who stripped only to their underwear at the Jembrana Modification Auto Show on 21st August.
I can’t imagine the people attending the show were upset but nevertheless the Deputy Regent of Jembrana, Made Kembang Hartawan, has apologized to the public.
Actually, I’m not sure if the article in that ever-interesting Bali website was written tongue-in-cheek, but it’s fun to read, whatever.
An erotic dance entitled the “Lady’s Car Wash” featured three women who stripped down to what has been described as black bras and panties to perform a provocative dance before hundreds in attendance loosely based on the idea of washing a car….
The three woman appeared before the audience, initial completely dressed, and then performed a strip tease that left them wearing only their black undergarment.
I’ll bet there were loud cheers, but get this priggish comment from the red-faced Regent!
“Actually we reminded the organizing committee about the limits that could not be crossed, but they ignored our instructions. Because of this we now must apologize to both the people of Jembrana and the public at large.”
And believe it or not, that Kembang character wants the place exorcised – a cleansing “Mecaru” ceremony at the scene of the erotic dance performance.
If the cuties had performed their ‘car-wash’ routine in one of the many Hindu temples in Bali, I’d entirely sympathise with his indignation. There’s a time and a place and all that.
But for pity’s sake, it was UNDERWEAR, at a public exhibition hall! How can young chicks in bra and pants be a source of “outrage!?” But that’s the word Kembang chose, when he reminded all concerned that similar outrages cannot be allowed occur in the future.

That’s just mean-spirited.
When this kind of nonsense gets turned into a matter for the police in Indonesia, it’s often not the organisers who face the music, but the harmless little cuties.
