Fun with Technology
Technology and fun are the core ideas in which we bring you RLS Media Camp. This summer camp features several distinct courses across varied areas of media interest. All are designed to be project-driven hands-on training that gives campers a real experience in the media industry. Our six-week program exposes campers to media and technology topics including video production/movie making, web design, and photography.
Program Details
Video Production / Movie Making:
Using a video camera, conceptualizing a project, storyboarding, shooting and video editing. Final Cut Pro/Premiere will be taught.
Photography:
Getting comfortable with a DSLR camera, discovering professional shooting techniques, image enhancement workflows, and editing software.
Web Design:
Learning the fundamentals of web design and accompanying technologies.
The Media Camp
RLS Media Camp is the perfect blend of fun, friendships, and personal growth while engaging in a hands-on technical experience in the field of media technology, films, television production, photography, and web design.
Located on the Kean University campus in Union, New Jersey, RLS Media Camp campers come from all over the east coast to be a part of our annual summer six-week program. Whether new or an advanced student, each is dedicated to working hard and gaining the most that they can for the length of the program.
Our camp leaders are caring, friendly, and most importantly are passionate about the world of media. They are dedicated and hard working. Our support staff cares deeply about the safety, education, and social experience of the students. They work effortlessly to ensure that each student has a memorable and fulfilling experience at camp.
Camp Information
2017 Camp Dates
July 3 to August 10 - Mon-Thurs (6 Week Session)
week 1 extended until Friday, no camp on July 4th
Class Schedule
9:00 am to 3:15 pm
Doors open at 8:30 am. Campers can be picked up until 5:30 pm

Registration
$60 (non-refundable) – Two t-shirts included
Tuition
$1690 – Weekly trips included. Prices are subject to increase after March 1, 2017. In order to guarantee this pricing, you must register and make a minimum payment of ½ the tuition amount by March 1, 2017. Final tuition balance is due April 1, 2017.
Weekly Trips
Campers will enjoy weekly trips as part of their summer vacation. Field Trips are a great way to give campers an opportunity to bond and have a day off from their busy week of producing great content. Final schedule will be mailed out to campers two weeks before the camp starting date
Lunch
Campers must bring in their lunch daily or purchase lunch on campus. Snacks will be provided during our early break. We advise that campers pack some snacks if they are planning on staying at camp extended hours.
Certificates
Certificates are awarded to those who have completed RLS Media Camp! We celebrate the accomplishments and hard work that our campers participate in our program.
