Milton Keynes College are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Course Team Leader for AAT Accounting, with a commitment to delivering outstanding levels of teaching, learning and assessment.

As a Course Team Leader you will demonstrate the ability to deliver outstanding teaching and learning as well as a destination focused experience that will enable our students to succeed in the ever-changing world of work. You will deliver student success through effective curriculum and lesson planning which meets individual needs, as well as delivering in an inspirational and innovative way. You will also work with employers to help them engage with and invest in talent development in ways that will support the local and national economy.

The subject of Accounting sits within the school for Business, Retail and Logistics. This area of study where qualifications are recognised throughout the Finance industry, is a popular choice among students and employers. Milton Keynes is a rapidly growing town which in turn has a growing commercial industry where Accounting qualifications are sought after. As well as teaching AAT Accounting covering subjects such as Bookkeeping, Cash Management and Financial Reporting, you will also be required to teach on some of our popular Business courses.

As the successful candidate for the position of Course Team Leader, AAT Accounting, you will possess the following essential knowledge, skills and experience;

Strong curriculum knowledge, course leadership and team working that delivers multiple and diverse teaching methods

Recent experience of teaching Accounting up to Level 4 and experience teaching 16-18 year olds

Accountable for high quality student outcomes on the courses you manage

Strong track record of good or better teaching & learning delivery across a range of levels, with high quality student outcomes

Well-developed organisational, communication and teamwork skills

An ability to engage and motivate students to deliver high performance outcomes in a further education environment

An ability to develop the quality of the student experience that leads to outstanding outcomes

Good communication and presentation skills, written and verbal

An ability to effectively embed equal opportunities and safeguarding into curriculum delivery and student life

A good understanding of how technology can be used to enhance teaching, learning and assessment in classroom, workplace and virtual contexts

A drive towards innovation in teaching, learning and assessment

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum

Salary: £25,706 - £32,580 per annum

Location: Chaffron Way Campus
