Due to continued expansion in our Surbiton office, we are looking to recruit for an Operational Delivery Manager to lead a section of a Pension Operations Team in the delivery of a contractually compliant service to clients and members (in line with Service Level Agreements and business objectives).
The successful candidate will be expected to have a full understanding, using the appropriate MI and communication channels of client requirements (including contractual), workloads and sections capacity to enable achievement of delivery.
Key responsibilities includes but not limited to:
To oversee and support the Team Leaders and ensure that resources are flexed across the teams to deliver optimum service.
Use all resources available to achieve all Business Plan targets for the section.
To oversee the performance management of the section
Ensure full life cycle of administration services for all clients within the section are delivered in accordance with legislation, Scheme Rules, procedures and within the regulatory framework.
To give input to complex/complaint/VIP cases and check when appropriate.
To oversee the completion of Scheme Events and Projects and validate the accuracy/quality before completion.
To generate, follow up and record all opportunities for additional income generating projects and to engage the Client Partners when appropriate.
To encourage effective two-way communication between staff and management on all issues of interest and relevance from company through to individual and to ensure that the performance management framework is followed for all staff members within the section.
The Operational Delivery Manager will be involved in client relationship management with support when appropriate from the Service Delivery Manager and Client Partner.
We are looking for candidates with the following essential experience/knowledge:
Demonstrable pensions' management experience plus extensive pensions' administration or other relevant pensions experience;
A detailed understanding of the scope of CEB Pension Management contracts and contractual requirements for the schemes administered on the team;
Excellent motivation, people management and development skills;
Ability to communicate effectively and successfully with individuals of all levels within the business as well as clients and third parties;
Corporate Pensions experience essential, having been accustomed to working with Trustees and client partners in the everyday running of their corporate benefit arrangements;
Detailed knowledge of relevant industry practices;
Thorough knowledge of management tools including MI, methodology and best practice;
Awareness of the Pension Regulators guidance, the FSA principles and Treating Customers Fairly;
High degree of knowledge of pension schemes, procedures and services;
Knowledge of the risk framework;
Sound operations management skills and ability to lead and implement change;
Client relationship management skills;
Good analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to interrogate MI.
