Regarding Charlotte, Black & Blue Lives and Lies

Sept 24, 2016 SBy Lloyd Marcus

Hi Folks. These are a few thoughts from the road. Mary and I are driving from our home in Florida up to visit her family in West Virginia and my family in Maryland. On Saturday, Pumphrey, the community I grew up in is having an event honoring my 88 year old preacher dad. Dad was a pillar of our black community. In the 60s, we Pumphrey elementary school students were bused to the recently integrated Brooklyn Park Jr/Sr High School. Saturday night, I have been asked to sing at my Brooklyn Park High School reunion. I will not tell you which year reunion because it sounds really old, even to me.

Our car radio lost Rush and other talk radio favorites as we drove through states. In South Carolina, I stumbled across a southern gospel station that made me smile. “I’m Stickin’ With Jesus All The Way” was one of the great comforting songs we heard. Several radio stations touted traditional American values. We saw a huge billboard that read, “Blue Lives Matter, Trump/Pence.” My point is listening to mainstream media, one could easily conclude that we have lost the America we love.

There are more of us who love God, our country, our National Anthem and our flag than those who do not. It reminds me of that guy in the Bible who was depressed because he thought he was the only one left in Israel who had not succumbed to worshiping false gods. God told the man he had 7,000 who had not bowed to Baal. Sometimes when standing up for righteousness we feel alone.

Mary and I spent the night in North Carolina near Charlotte. On TV in our hotel room, local news was dominated with the riots. Once again just like in Ferguson, blacks were responding violently to a lie insidiously spread on social media, promoted by mainstream media.

Black Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Putney said Scott, the fatally shot black man, came out of his car with a gun, not a book as claimed by Scott’s family who were not there.  Also, the officer who shot Scott was black. But this is not the story-line that the Left wishes to further. The Left ignored the facts and ran with the story-line that another unarmed black man was gunned down by a racist cop. Documented evidence confirms that blacks pose the largest threat to black lives.

Divinely lead to push back against the Left’s narrative (lie) which has painted a target on the backs of America’s brave men and women in blue, I launched a nationwide Blue Lives Matter Celebration tour. Our first celebration event was in Daytona Beach Florida. The media blackout was stunning. Still, we press forward in Jesus name. Our next Blues Lives Matter Celebration will probably be in Dallas.

With this latest wave of riots and anger targeted at police, a dear friend emailed me. She cautioned me to be prayerful and careful in regards to standing up for police at this time. The image of lighting a candle in the darkness came to mind. When things are at their darkest, that is the time to light a candle.

Black Chief Putney confirmed my thoughts regarding the importance of spreading the truth. He said, “It’s time for the voiceless majority to stand up and be heard.”

Evil prospers when good folks do nothing. Folks, I believe God has my back. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I have been preaching for years in my articles that the Left has had its way reshaping our culture and country because far too many Americans are afraid of making the Left really angry. Well, I cannot sit back and allow the Left to spread lies which ultimately lead to the assassination of police. I am moving forward with my Blues Lives Matter Celebration tour, discrediting the lies and spreading the truth about police in positive, upbeat and entertaining ways. Please contribute at: lloydmarcus.com

The insane with racial hate and depravity American Left have decreed that it is racist to say all lives matter. I will say what God says is right rather than what evil men demand that I say.

Red, yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight. This means ALL LIVES MATTER!

Charlotte Police Department Releases Videos of Shooting

Sept 25, 2016   by  C. Mitchell Shaw

After days of riots and looting and some mostly peaceful protests following the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott — a black man — in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has released the dashcam and bodycam videos of the shooting. And while — as Charlotte officials had previously said — the videos do not conclusively show Scott pointing a gun at officers, the videos do seem to confirm the officers’ account of what happened Tuesday.

CMPD Chief Kerr Putney — who initially said he would not release the dashcam and bodycam until there was a “compelling reason” to do so — released the video one day after Scott’s wife released her own mobile phone video of the shooting. As The New American reported Friday, Mrs. Scott’s video does not show the actual shooting since Scott is out of the frame of her camera at the time of the shooting. Her video also seems to confirm the account of the shooting offered by the police officers involved. In her video and the police videos released Saturday, some officers can be seen taking cover behind other vehicles in the parking lot as other officers are seen trying to break the window of the SUV occupied by Scott. Officers can be heard ordering Scott to drop his gun and Mrs. Scott pleads with Scott, saying repeatedly, “Keith! Don’t do it. Don’t you do it!” before Officer Brentley Vinson — who is also black — fired four shots at Scott, killing him.

It was originally wrongly reported that Scott had exited the vehicle with a gun and then returned to the vehicle when he saw police officers. As the story has developed it is now known that Scott only exited the vehicle in the seconds before he was shot.

Police were in the area to serve an outstanding warrant on another suspect when they saw Scott in his SUV in possession of marijuana. They were considering ignoring the matter when an officer noticed a gun. Because the drugs made the possession of the gun a felony, officers ordered Scott out of the vehicle. When he refused, they began to try to break the window. On Mrs. Scott’s video, she can be heard saying, “Keith, don’t let them break the windows. Come on out the car.” Just before Scott exits the vehicle, an officer again orders him to “drop the gun” and Mrs. Scott says, “Keith! Don’t you do it.”

In the videos released by CMPD Saturday, Scott can be seen exiting the SUV, his hands by his side as officers repeatedly order him to “drop the gun.” On Mrs. Scott’s video, she can be heard saying in a panicked voice, “Keith! Keith! Keith! Don’t you do it! Don’t you do it!” The next sound is Officer Vinson’s weapon firing four times.

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) crowd as well as Scott’s family and many in the mainstream media have pointed to the fact that none of the videos show Scott holding a gun or pointing anything at the officers, but there is more to this story than any grainy, out of focus, or distant videos shot at odd angles can tell.

(Advisory! This video contains graphic language and violence.)

As Chief Putney has said, while the video is not conclusive, it is part of a larger body of evidence, including officer statements, forensic evidence, and the fact that a gun — which was later verified to have Scott’s fingerprints and DNA on it — was recovered at the scene. As The New American reported Saturday:

• In a recently released video of the shooting — made and released by Scott’s wife — the officers can be heard ordering Scott at least 10 times to “drop the gun” and his wife can be heard pleading with Scott to “get out the car” and (four times) “Keith! Don’t you do it!” (In this video, Scott was outside the frame of the camera when shot.)

• No book was recovered at the scene, but a gun — which can be seen lying on the ground next to Scott in still shots of the video taken by local media after the shooting — was recovered.

• Scott’s fingerprints and DNA were found on the gun when it was examined by police forensic investigators.

• Scott had a long and violent criminal record that included felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in an episode where — while evading arrest — Scott fired two shots at police officers before being apprehended by those officers.

Although the video evidence is not conclusive, the reality is that it is often the case in real-life situations. After all, this video and other dashcam, bodycam, and mobile phone videos are not planned in advance as in a Hollywood filming session. The lighting and shadows, the angles, the quality of the video, and the rapid action all conspire to make the video veryinconclusive. That’s just the nature of real life. It is also the nature of the life and death decisions officers have to make in fractions of a second.

Because the police dashcam video does not clearly show a gun in Scott’s hand, some will assume that he must have been unarmed. Yet it is also true that this video never never clearly shows his hands at all — either empty or holding a gun. This is why all of the evidence recorded on the videos — not just what is shown but what is heard — and all of the other evidence — from witness accounts to the gun with Scott’s fingerprints and DNA — need to be evaluated in their totality.

Yet desipite the evidence, it is likely that the BLM crowd, which terrorized Charlotte until the National Guard began patrolling the city, will be inflamed anew at this video. If that happens, Charlotte may be in for a rough couple of nights.

Charlotte Shooting: Another Pretext for “Black Lives Matter” Terror?

Sept 24, 2016  by  C. Mitchell Shaw

As violence and lawlessness reigned in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the wake of an officer-involved shooting of an armed black man earlier this week, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) crowd claimed that those committing mayhem and violence were “protesting” against racism. But is BLM responding to a real problem or simply using the shooting as another pretext for bringing about revolutionary change via terror?

The facts simply do not support the claim of the family and the BLM crowd that Keith Lamont Scott was a peaceful man simply reading a book and posing no threat to the officers when he was shot. Here are the facts that are known at this time:

• In a recently released video of the shooting — made and released by Scott’s wife — the officers can be heard ordering Scott at least 10 times to “drop the gun” and his wife can be heard pleading with Scott to “get out the car” and (four times) “Keith! Don’t you do it!” (In this video, Scott was outside the frame of the camera when shot.) (Update: Soon after this article was published, on Saturday, the police released two videos.)

• The police officer who shot Scott is black, so it does not make sense to view his actions — whether justified or unjustified — as being motivated by racism against blacks.

Boiling all of that down to its broth, the lies of the BLM crowd becomes obvious. So, if the rioting and looting are not about justice for an unarmed black man killed for simply being black, what really is behind all of the violence and lawlessness in Charlotte, North Carolina? What is BLM playing at?

The American Heritage Dictionary defines terrorism as:

The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

By that definition, is BLM terroristic? First, it should be noted that BLM is not a distinct “organization,” but an umbrella movement that applies to varying degrees to a nexus of groups that share common ideology and — often — common tactics. That ideology is that black Americans need to rise up and throw off the chains of oppression that have been put on them by white people. The tactics include violent riots and the assault of police officers and white people.

Heavily funded by George Soros and other deep-pocketed leftists, BLM (as a myriad of organizations under one umbrella) hasfomented a war on police, demanded that “white folks” give up their money and lay down their lives, committed acts of wanton violence and destruction, and demanded reparations, including free college and and a misnamed minimum wage that would not require the “wage” recipients to perform any work in order to qualify. BLM demands have also included that blacks have collective ownership of businesses.

The message of the BLM crowd is summed up in a mantra seen at all of the riots: “No Justice; No Peace.” The meaning is clear: The BLM crowd will continue to riot, burn, assault, and terrorize — as they have recently done in Charlotte and Milwaukee — until laws and policies are changed to suit their demands.

So, with the people who march under the BLM banner practicing the “unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence” in the cities of America “with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments” to bring about their “ideological” and “political” goals, it is difficult to understand why BLM has not been classified as a terrorist group. Perhaps the reason can be found in the recent kerfuffle in which a North Carolina politician found himself embroiled when he stated the obvious and then — under pressure — retracted his previous statement.

U.S. Congressman Robert Pittenger (R-N.C) — who is from Charlotte — made an impassioned statement about the rioters and looters in Charlotte who targeted whites for violent and unprovoked attacks. He told BBC:

The grievance in their minds –– the animus, the anger –– they hate white people because white people are successful and they’re not… It is a welfare state. We have spent trillions of dollars on welfare, and we’ve put people in bondage, so they can’t be all they’re capable of being.

As soon as his very politically incorrect remarks were reported, Pittenger apologized via Twitter, saying:

What is taking place in my hometown breaks my heart. Today, my anguish led me to respond to a reporter’s question in a way that I regret.

This writer has seen a number of disturbing videos posted on the Internet showing looting, burning, and violence — including the targeting of police officers and whites — perpetrated by angry rioters in Charlotte over the past week. I have also seen a video recording of Scott’s brother saying that “all white people are f*****g devils. I hate all you m****r f*****s.”).

Pittenger’s apology notwithstanding, there is plenty of evidence indicating that BLM lies are helping to create hatred. But the hatred that is being created is not just anti-white; it also anti-black. After all, the rioting and looting in Charlotte and elsewhere play into the hands of anti-black racists who wrongly blame the actions of criminals on an entire race, despite the fact that law-abiding blacks who live in inner cities are particularly harmed by the violence and crime perpetrated in their neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, the BLM crowd continues to use terror to bring about the change they are demanding.

‘F**k Blue Lives,’ Shouts Houston Black Lives Matter

25 Sept 2016 by Lana Shaswick

HOUSTON, Texas — At least one Black Lives Matter protester in Houston was reported to yell “F**k blue lives” while others chanted “Pig, pig, bang, bang.” The anti-police rhetoric came during a protest march in Houston’s predominantly black historic Third Ward on Saturday evening.

The protest began in McGregor Park after the release of the dashcam video by Charlotte, North Carolina, police showing the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott, a black man, by a black police officer. On September 22, a white female officer in Tulsa was charged with first-degree manslaughter after she shot and killed Terence Crutcher. As reported by Breitbart News and the AP, Officer Betty Shelby was charged after dashcam and aerial footage showed the shooting and Crutcher walking away from the officer with his arms in the air. The footage does not include a clear view of when the officer fired the sole shot that killed the 40-year-old black man.

At one point, a confrontation developed between the protesters and police, according tothe Houston Chronicle’s Keri Blakinger. The standoff occurred in a parking lot on the University of Houston campus. Ultimately, the protesters backed up and took a different path.

“F**k blue lives,” shouted one protester that Blakinger described as “particularly incensed.” She reported others chanting “Pig, pig, bang, bang.”

The protesters occasionally blocked street intersections remained peaceful and out of the flow of traffic during the protest.

The usual chants of “No justice, no peace! No racist police!” could be heard during a march down a sidewalk alongside Martin Luther King Boulevard, KTRC ABC13’s Lauren Leereported. The protest march was dubbed a “Day of Remembrance” in honor of those killed in officer-involved shootings.

Event organizer Gregory Chatman told Lee, “We just want black people to feel safe in our communities. We want to go outside without worrying about if police are going to kill us today or harass us today.”

Protesters invaded the intersection of Scott and Wheeler Streets for a few moments. They raised their hands in the air and chanted “Hands up, don’t shoot” for a few minutes and then continued on their march towards Texas Southern University, Blakinger reported for the Houston newspaper.

A co-organizer for the march, Deondre Moore told Blakinger, “We’re tired of seeing what’s going on in America. We’re fed up.”

“Every morning I see black and brown bodies in the street. I don’t feel safe when I see a police officer coming around,” Moore continued. “I’m afraid to say this, but white people don’t have to deal with this,” he continued. “When something is wrong, we need to call it for what it is – systematic racism, police brutality, a system that wasn’t built for people who look like me. It needs to be dismantled and rebuilt.”

Houston police officers erected barricades to prevent protesters from occupying the nearby I-45 Gulf Freeway, KPRC NBC2’s Brandon Walker reported. Other than a couple of brief incidents, Houston police officers kept protesters either in sidewalks or in parking lots as they moved along their route.

Chastity Gibbons told Walker, “I wanted my kids [to] be able to see how to protest.” Gibbons brought her four children to the event, including five-year-old Elijah.

The protest remained peaceful and no arrests were made.

Tulsa Cop Who Shot Unarmed Man Tells Her Side Of The Story… “I Was Never…”

The attorney for Betty Shelby, who was identified as the Tulsa, Oklahoma, police officer who shot and killed a black man in Tulsa on Friday night, has gone public to describe how she felt when she encountered the potentially dangerous situation, and her story explained a great deal.

Scott Wood, Shelby’s attorney, told ABC News that when Selby encountered Terence Crutcher, 40, Friday night, he refused to follow more than two dozen commands. He reached into an open window of a car before Shelby felt she was in a threatening situation and shot him.

“I was never so scared in my life as in that moment right then,” Shelby told detectives in an interview, Wood said. She thought Crutcher was reaching into his car for a weapon when she fired the shot.

Shelby and another officer were responding to a domestic violence call when they came across Crutcher’s SUV in the middle of a street. Crutcher was also standing in the middle of the street. Shelby approached the car and noted the doors were closed, and the windows were open.

Crutcher didn’t respond to Shelby’s questions, and Wood said Shelby believed Crutcher was on some kind of drug.

She pulled her weapon and ordered him to get on his knees. He did not comply and moved toward the SUV instead. Wood said Shelby then ordered Crutcher to stop and put his hands in the air. He did not obey those orders and continued walking to the car.

Check out Wood’s interview here.

Wood said Shelby believed Crutcher attempted to reach inside the window, a move which prompted her to fire her weapon.

“As a police officer, you have to wonder — why would someone ignore commands at gunpoint to get to a certain location?” the attorney asked.
