Border Patrol union: ‘Trump is the only candidate’ to support agents

The largest U.S. Border Patrol union local is praising Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for being the “only candidate” to support their tough mission, an almost endorsement that is the latest boost for the front runner’s campaign.
“Mr. Trump is the only candidate that has publicly expressed his support of our mission and our agents. He has been an outspoken candidate on the need for a Secure Border and for this we are grateful,” said a statement from Art Del Cueto, president of Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council, the representative of 18,000 agents.
He said that Trump sought the local’s endorsement, though it has a practice of not endorsing.
On March 18, 2016, Donald Trump’s campaign reached out to Local 2544 about a potential endorsement. I informed Mr. Trump’s campaign that NBPC had long standing practice of not endorsing Presidential candidates and that as the President of Local 2544, and I would continue to adhere to that practice.
However, Local 2544 is pleased to inform voters that Mr. Trump is the only candidate that has publicly expressed his support of our mission and our Agents. He has been an outspoken candidate on the need for a Secure Border and for this we are grateful.
The American public has continually called for a secure border and Donald Trump has promised to make this desire a reality. His campaign has expressed an interest in a Border Patrol’s Agent’s perspective and a tour of our border, that we will gladly provide. We do not seek to give tours but if asked we will happily provide a tour that gives a realistic idea of what our Agents face on a daily basis. Donald Trump is the only candidate who has expressed this interest.
We are confident that the National Border Patrol Council’s longstanding message about the unsecured border and much needed support for our Agents will be received well by Mr. Trump. The American public deserves to be secure in their own country and we encourage all voters to consider that candidate that has the political will to make it happen.

Trump protesters block streets in Fountain Hills

PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) –Trump protesters were blocking vehicles leading into Fountain Hills in advance of Donald Trump’s campaign stop Saturday morning.
The protesters parked their cars in the middle of the road, unfurling banners reading “Dump Trump” and “Must Stop Trump,” and chanting “Trump is hate.” Traffic was backed up for miles, with drivers honking in fury.
Protesters were chanting, “Donald Trump, shut it down, Phoenix is the people’s town.”
The disruption occurred well after large crowds lined up to get into the Fountain Hills rally. Maricopa County Sheriff Deputy Joaquin Enriquez said officers will ask the protesters to move and if they don’t comply, they will forcibly remove them.
Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies were seen directing tow trucks to start hauling the violators away.
Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers pulled up to assist deputies at Shea Boulevard and State Route 87, where protestors, standing shoulder-to-shoulder, maneuvered their vehicles to block traffic.
Earlier in the morning, protesters were lining up in Phoenix in advance of Donald Trump’s appearance at a campaign event at the Phoenix Convention Center.
Trump was appearing with Sean Hannity at 9 a.m. for a town hall meeting.
Protesters were staging in Tonatierra Park and planned to march to the event in a peaceful protest.
They were carrying a message they want Trump to hear.
“We don’t want you here in Arizona,” said protester Salvador Reza. “We don’t want your hate.”
Protesters will march several blocks to where Trump will speak.
“We want to make sure that people know that not everyone is in agreement with Donald Trump,” Reza said. “There’s more than 50 percent of people who don’t want him.”
Trump is bringing his get-tough message on illegal immigration to Ground Zero.
“He’s already talking about building walls, not bridges. In the modern era, that’s not acceptable,” Reza said.
Trump supporters were out in full force, including Tim Tashio.
“I want him to undo all the things the previous administration has forced upon us,’” Tashio said.
Another supporter said Trump is a leader.
“Something we sorely need in this country now,” Frank Tortorici said. “He says what he needs to say.”
Following the downtown event, Trump will hold a rally Saturday at 11 a.m. at a park in Fountain Hills, the hometown of Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The lawman is a Trump ally known for immigration crackdowns that made him politically popular, but they were eventually barred by the courts.

Hundreds of immigrant rights advocates who have opposed the sheriff’s tactics plan to line up outside the Trump event. They will be joined by members of a union that represents hotel workers and military veterans who say Trump is using hateful speech toward Muslims.
Francisca Porchas, organizing director for the Puente Movement, a civil-rights group in Phoenix, said her group sees Trump’s views on immigration as being the same as the sheriff’s.
“We want the Trump rise — the Trump effect — to end,” Porchas said.
In an interview, Arpaio said he isn’t concerned about violence erupting at the park but that his officers are able to handle such situations. The town where the event is being held doesn’t have its own police department, and Arpaio’s office provides police protection there.
“If they violate the law, they will go to the tents,” Arpaio said, referring to his practice of jailing people outdoors in surplus military tents. “I will have my vans out there to transport people who violate the law.”

Donald Trump Disrupters Are PC Enforcers, Not ‘Protesters’

Calling a leftist political agitator conducting an organized disruption of a Donald Trump rally a “protester” is like calling a carjacker a “transportation facilitator.”
Rosa Parks was a protester; the Trump rally disrupters are thuggish enforcers. And it’s time Republicans stop blaming the victim when the thugs show up for the cameras.
By a planned, coordinated chorus of shouting, chanting and provocative physical obstructions, these thugs are not affirming anyone’s rights. They are enforcing the canons of political correctness as currently taught in our universities– condoned by the mass media and too often excused by short-sighted politicians too willing to score cheap shots at the expense of vital principles.
Candidate Donald Trump is the number one target today, because he is leading the parade. But it was me yesterday and it may be you or YOUR favorite candidate tomorrow.
A few years ago while still in Congress, I had been invited by the College Young Republicans to speak on the campus of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Students were rioting outside when I got there and also in the small auditorium where I was to speak. Police got me safely into the room but students AND professors were screaming profanities so loud I could not even start my speech.
Then bricks started crashing through the windows and the hall was evacuated. I’ve almost always had protesters when I spoke on campus but they had never been able to completely stop me until that day.
A similar disruption of a scheduled campus speech at the University of Michigan Law School, when I was invited to speak on immigration reform by a student organization at the school. Sadly, free speech is not more precious or more protected at our nation’s law schools than elsewhere on university campuses.
As I watch what is happening at Trump rallies I am reminded of my own experiences and the thought that I have never seen a group of conservative students – or adults — pull the same violent crap on liberal speakers. Only the left is so frightened of ideas. These totalitarians who disrupt peaceful assembly should be charged with hate crimes, as I have never heard more vile, hate-filled language than that which spews from their mouths.
I been been a vocal supporter of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% , but I am ashamed of how he was so quick to join the group-think chorus in blaming Trump’s language for inviting and “inciting” the protesters.
Anyone who says or implies that Trump deserves to have his rallies disrupted by throngs of violent, foul-mouthed “street theater” clowns is tacitly justifying their tactics and legitimizing their slanders.
Saying that “Trump started it” or “opened the door” is the same as radical Muslims saying a woman who walks down the street alone is inviting rape. His words were evidently “micro-aggressions” that insulted the rights of disrupters to be free of hassles or manhandling when physically violating the rights of others.
Why are so many Republicans willing to allow PC thugs to become the arbiters of acceptable taste and language in political speech? Do they really think the thuggery is aimed only at Trump’s language and not his ideas? Or do they care about such distinctions?
The planning for the organized disruption of candidate Trump’s public events began the day he launched his campaign by attacking illegal immigration and open borders, and the disruptions began as soon as he became the presumed winner of the Republican nomination. Turning the 2016 election into a referendum on Trump’s persona instead of Hillary’s dishonesty and Obama’s legacy is a cornerstone of Democrat strategy.
Do you think any self-respecting progressive would waste his time disrupting a Kasich rally? Or Mitt Romney? Why bother? The left only targets its mortal enemies, not useful idiots who parrot the PC line on cultural diversity, the “religion of peace,” and open borders.

Radical Leftists Unleash Anti-Trump Riots Starting On March 19th

Many of the exact same groups that participated in Occupy Wall Street and helped organize protest rallies in Ferguson and Baltimore are now promising to bring us “the largest civil disobedience actions in a generation”. I recently wrote about the trouble that radical leftists have caused by attempting to disrupt Trump campaign events, but now there is a very organized effort to turn this into a national movement.
On March 19th, thousands of angry protesters will descend on Trump Tower in New York City to denounce Donald Trump’s “fascist policies”, and on April 2nd dozens of leftist organizations will join together to launch “Democracy Spring” in Philadelphia. From there, large numbers of liberal activists will march to Washington D.C. where they will “risk arrest” during a “peaceful” sit-in at the U.S. Capitol from April 11th to April 18th. If the radical left is this freaked out about Donald Trump now, how bad will things get if he actually becomes the Republican nominee?
I suppose that it was only a matter of time before the radical left began to specifically target Trump properties. I hope that Trump has good security, because it will definitely be tested starting tomorrow…
Left-wing demonstrators have announced their latest anti-Trump event – a march on Trump Tower in New York City to protest against The Donald’s “fascist policies”.
A Facebook page for the rally outlines the plan, organized by a group called ‘Cosmopolitan Antifascists’, to march on the building at 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
“Donald J. Trump has made headlines in recent months with his divisive rhetoric, hate speech, and extremist plans to “make America great again”. We, in fact, believe this will do the opposite to this nation. Trump’s policy threatens many of us in the Black, Latino, LGBT, Muslim, and other communities,” states the page.
According to the Facebook page for “Cosmopolitan Antifascists”, 5,000 people plan to show up and 15,000 more are “interested” in this event.
Will it turn out to be a completely peaceful protest?
Let’s certainly hope so.
Perhaps even more disturbing is what is going to happen in early April. Dozens of far left groups have gotten behind a movement that has been officially dubbed “Democracy Spring”.
Obviously, that name was chosen to conjure up memories of the “Arab Spring”, and we all remember how “peaceful” that was.
The official website of Democracy Spring tells us the following about the goals…
This spring, in the heart of the primary season, as the national election begins to take center stage, Americans of all ages, faiths, political perspectives, and walks of life will bring the popular cry for change to Washington in a way that’s impossible to ignore: with nonviolent civil disobedience on a historic scale.
We will demand that Congress listen to the People and take immediate action to save our democracy. And we won’t leave until they do — or until they send thousands of us to jail, along with the unmistakable message that our country needs a new Congress, one that that will end the legalized corruption of our democracy and ensure that every American has an equal voice in government.
Do you understand the threat that is being made there?
They are purposely planning to break the law and get arrested. In fact, their website says that there are already more than 2,000 people that have “pledged to risk arrest” between April 11th and April 18th…
The campaign will begin on April 2nd with a march from the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia to Washington, D.C. where thousands will gather to reclaim the US Capitol in a powerful, peaceful, and massive sit-in that no one can ignore. Over 2,000 people have already pledged to risk arrest between April 11th-18th in what will be one of the largest civil disobedience actions in a generation.
And the list of groups that are backing this movement reads like a who’s who of radical leftist organizations…

This is just the beginning. The radical left has won the hearts and minds of millions of our young people, and many of these groups are preaching a message of anger, frustration and direct confrontation.
For now, let’s hope that these “protests” are at least somewhat peaceful. But throughout history, leftist revolutions have almost always turned violent at least to a certain degree.
And let there be no confusion – the radical left very much wants a revolution. There is a reason why Bernie Sanders uses that word so much in his applause lines. It is a buzzword that evokes some very powerful imagery for the radical left.
America is changing, and not for the better. From this point forward, the radical left in America is going to become much more active, and in the end that is going to have dramatic consequences for all of us.
