Within hours of the killings at Umpqua Community College in Oregon last week, President Obama stepped to the White House lectern, admittedly without all the facts of the case, to shamelessly politicize the tragedy.
“Somebody, somewhere will comment and say, Obama politicized this issue. Well, this is something we should politicize,” he said.
Perhaps Obama’s open politicizing of the issue wasn’t the worst part, but instead it was his intellectual dishonesty when it comes to the “common-sense” gun laws he wants implemented.
“What’s become routine, of course, is the response of those who oppose any kind of common-sense gun legislation. Right now, I can imagine the press releases being cranked out: We need more guns, they’ll argue. Fewer gun safety laws. Does anybody really believe that? There are scores of responsible gun owners in this country — they know that’s not true. We know because of the polling that says the majority of Americans understand we should be changing these laws — including the majority of responsible, law-abiding gun owners,” the president said. “We know that other countries, in response to one mass shooting, have been able to craft laws that almost eliminate mass shootings. Friends of ours, allies of ours — Great Britain, Australia, countries like ours. So we know there are ways to prevent it.”
“We have seatbelt laws because we know it saves lives. So the notion that gun violence is somehow different,” Obama added, “that our freedom and our Constitution prohibits any modest regulation of how we use a deadly weapon, when there are law-abiding gun owners all across the country who could hunt and protect their families and do everything they do under such regulations doesn’t make sense.”
The so-called “common-sense” and “modest” laws in Britain and Australia Obama refers to aren’t common-sense or modest at all, but rather require extreme confiscation and bans.
In 1996, the Australian government confiscated hundreds of thousands of personally owned firearms as part of their new “common-sense” gun control laws. In 1997, British citizens were forced to turn over their handguns for destruction. The prettier and more expensive versions were confiscated and placed in museums. Is this what Obama is suggesting should happen to the estimated 300 million firearms owned by American citizens? Is that what he means by “common sense,” “modest regulation” and “changing our laws?”
Of course it is.
It should be noted that after the Britain handgun ban was implemented, crime committed with guns skyrocketed and the ban has done little to reduce overall homicide rates. The same has been shown for homicides committed with firearms in Australia after the 1996 National Agreement on Firearms.
“The Government’s latest crime figures were condemned as ‘truly terrible’ by the Tories today as it emerged that gun crime in England and Wales soared by 35% last year. Criminals used handguns in 46% more offences, Home Office statistics revealed,” the Daily Mail reported in 2003. “Firearms were used in 9,974 recorded crimes in the 12 months to last April, up from 7,362. It was the fourth consecutive year to see a rise and there were more than 2,200 more gun crimes last year than the previous peak in 1993. Figures showed the number of crimes involving handguns had more than doubled since the post-Dunblane massacre ban on the weapons, from 2,636 in 1997-1998 to 5,871.”
In 2009, the United Kingdom was found to be the most violent country in Europe.
Despite Obama’s claim that pro-Second Amendment groups want less gun safety, the opposite is true. In fact, the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) have dedicated millions of dollars, thousands of hours and numerous different resources to gun safety programs and will continue to do so for years to come.
Since 1988, the NRA has offered its Eddie Eagle program to parents and children as a gun safety resource. Since 2003, the NSSF has partnered with more than 15,000 law enforcement agencies in all 50 states to hand out more than 36 million firearm safety kits. As a result of these programs, we’ve seen a 22 percent reduction in fatal firearms accidents over the past decade. Because of this reduction, fatal firearms accidents now make up less than 1 percent of all fatal accidents in the United States.
Further, the NSSF has worked with local state governments in an effort to properly enter mental health information into the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, preventing the mentally ill from getting their hands on a firearm.
Anti-gun groups, most of which are funded by former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, have done little to promote or fund real gun safety programs. While these groups spend millions to exploit tragedy and to infringe on the Second Amendment rights of Americans, the NRA and the NSSF spend millions to keep Americans and their rights safe.
If President Obama had his way, the United States would be just like Britain and Australia, where handguns were confiscated and remain banned with little to show for it. Thankfully, the Second Amendment and the American people will not stand for it.

National rates of gun homicide and other violent gun crimes are strikingly lower now than during their peak in the mid-1990s, paralleling a general decline in violent crime, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of government data. Beneath the long-term trend, though, are big differences by decade: Violence plunged through the 1990s, but has declined less dramatically since 2000.
Compared with 1993, the peak of U.S. gun homicides, the firearm homicide rate was 49% lower in 2010, and there were fewer deaths, even though the nation’s population grew. The victimization rate for other violent crimes with a firearm—assaults, robberies and sex crimes—was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993. Violent non-fatal crime victimization overall (with or without a firearm) also is down markedly (72%) over two decades.

Though he’s exploited the Umpqua murders shamelessly, Barack Obama has a few things in common with Christopher Harper-Mercer.
The Oregon shooter singled out Christians (so did the Columbine killers), an animus Obama shares. The president who has become the Ayatollah of Apologists for Islam, once compared the Crusades and Inquisition to al-Qaeda and the Taliban – as if something that happened 1,000 years ago or 500 years ago was comparable to the holy war going on now. In his 2008 bitter-clinger comment, Obama equated Christianity with racism and xenophobia and, even worse in his mind, gun ownership.
Rage defined the life of 26-year-old Harper-Mercer, who died after killing 9 people on the campus of Umpqua Community College last week. He was angry because he couldn’t find a girlfriend (how could any young woman resist such a charmer?), and “bitter at a world that he believed was working against him,” in the words of one news account.
The worst mass-murderer in the state’s history was raised by a single mother who babied him. In Torrance, California, where the family lived before moving to Oregon in 2013, Mrs. Harper would complain to neighbors about dogs barking or children playing too loud, saying they disturbed her son. The mainstream media pamper the president and try to silence his critics.
Barack Obama is the angriest man to occupy the White House. He’s angry that voters – who clearly don’t appreciate him – gave the GOP a Congressional majority in 2010, which they expanded in 2014. He’s furious that Republicans have the temerity to oppose his Iran deal. He claims his critics, driven by partisan politics, misrepresent his policies and impugn his motives. In other words, he’s bitter at a world that he believes is working against him.
He’s incensed that – in the face of mass shootings – an apathetic public won’t pressure an irresponsible Congress to pass “common sense” gun control, an intentionally vague term. “Our thoughts and prayers are not enough,” the president inveighed in the aftermath of the Oregon slaughter at yet another gun-free campus. (Even the lone security guard was unarmed.) “It does nothing to prevent this carnage from being inflicted somewhere else in America – next week or a couple of weeks from now. ”
It’s a betrayal of the victims and their families, the president charged. “This is a political choice to allow this to happen every few months. We are collectively answerable to those families, who lose their loved ones, because of our inactivity.” It’s no longer just the wicked NRA, but a blasé majority that don’t threaten their elected representatives with evisceration for not passing new gun-control measures.
The president asks why America can’t be more like Britain and Australia. “We know that other countries, in response to one mass shooting, have been able to craft laws that almost eliminate mass shootings. Friends of ours, allies of ours – Great Britain and Australia, countries like ours.” These countries have crafted laws that almost eliminate the private ownership of guns. Little good it does. The day after Umpqua, two were shot dead outside a police headquarters in a suburb of Sydney.
Gun controllers tell us that restricting access to firearms works, but understandably avoid details. In 2011, California, one of the most restrictive states, had a firearms murder rate of 3.25 per 100,000 residents. In ownership-friendly Texas, the rate was 2.91 and in Utah, which the prohibitionist Brady Campaign designates the state with the least gun control, the firearms murder rates was 0.97, less than a third of California’s.
Obama often compares multiple gun homicides to terrorism, noting that we “spend over a trillion dollars and pass countless laws, and devote entire agencies to preventing terrorist attacks on our soil… And yet we have a Congress that explicitly blocks us from even collecting data on how we could potentially stop gun deaths.” Not that it matters, but collecting data would have done nothing to stop Harper-Mercer, who was never arrested or committed and had no record of mental illness.
Would that the president cared about controlling terrorism even a fraction as much as he does about gun control. Initially, his first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano (whose home address is somewhere beyond our galaxy) couldn’t even say the word terrorism. In a 2009 interview with Der Spiegel, Napolitano went PC, calling terrorist incidents “man-caused disasters” – those being disasters caused by Muslim men.
For a week after the 2012 Benghazi butchery, the president, his Secretary of State and his National Security Advisor lied about the cause, attributing the attack to spontaneous outrage over an Internet video, when they knew it to be a premeditated act of terrorism. In his UN speech that year, Barrack Hussein Obama intoned: “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam,” and not “The future must not belong to those who behead hostages, crucify Christians and kill rabbis and their wives in the name of the prophet of Islam.”
In November 2009, 10 soldiers and one civilian were murdered at Fort Hood, Texas by an army psychiatrist who called himself a “soldier of Allah.” Nidal Malik Hasan, the American-born son of Palestinians, corresponded with homicidal cleric Anwar al-Awlaki and told colleagues that the U.S. was committing war crimes in Afghanistan. Obama steadfastly refused to call this terrorism. The Army termed it “workplace violence.”
In a service for victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing (perpetrated by Chechen Muslims granted refugee status), the president in his you-will-run-again-Boston homily wouldn’t even consider the possibility that “this heinous act,” was in fact an act of terrorism. Unlike Umpqua, in Boston prayers and consolation were enough, and to there were no demands for additional measures to control terrorism.
The execution-style murders of police officers in New York City and Houston in the past year are also acts of terrorism. While the president has condemned them, there are no calls to counter the Black Lives Matter movement, whose creeps march around chanting, “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon” and “What do we want? Dead cops now!” Black Lives Matter is funded by Obama donor George Soros.
To honor those who died at Umpqua, Obama ordered White House flags flown at half-staff. The gesture was absent last July, when an illegal immigrant who’d been deported from this country five times shot and killed 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle in San Francisco, one of more than a dozen sanctuary cities across the U.S.
The only lives that matter to the president are those of victims whose deaths allow him to beat his hollow chest and get self-righteous about the need for gun confiscation.
Among the many lives that don’t count, because they don’t fit Obama’s political agenda, are the victims of Muslim terrorism (whether they’re killed with a gun or pressure-cooker bombs, on an Army base or at the finish line of the Boston Marathon), cops murdered by radical killers whipped to a frenzy by his friends in the New Black Panther Party and the Black Lives Matter movement, and Americans murdered, tortured and raped by the illegal aliens whose entry the president facilitates.
You might say this is a political choice to allow this – terrorist slaughter, cop-killing, murder by illegal aliens – to happen every few months. Indeed, are we not collectively answerable to those families, who lost loved ones, because of our inactivity?

As the White House prepares more executive orders on gun control, Matt Drudge has sensationally challenged President Obama to give up his armed Secret Service protection.
During an impromptu appearance on the Alex Jones Show, Drudge also called on Hillary Clinton to relinquish her armed bodyguards.
“They’re all armed themselves, or they all have that security around them themselves. They don’t have to worry about [danger.] I challenge Hillary, take away your Secret Service. Take it away now. Take away your Secret Service; dismiss them. Have no security around you; have no guns around you, Hillary. I dare you. I dare you,” said Drudge.
“Obama, same thing. Drop your guns, Obama. Take your Secret Service away, Obama. Take it all away. Leave the White House unguarded, Obama. Let everybody know there’s no guns on the White House grounds, Obama.”
Drudge said that if either Hillary or Obama did this, within 30 seconds they would “no longer be on planet Earth.”
“So they’re asking us to drop our guns and to drop our security measures, or–or what?” said Drudge, adding that only “sick Americans” would support a move for widespread gun control.
“You can’t underestimate the sickness of the American people right now. They’re really sick. I’m more angry at the sick Americans than I am at Obama or Hillary. I’m really angry at the sick Americans,” said Drudge.
Earlier this week, the White House confirmed that Obama was preparing a series of new executive orders on gun control in the aftermath of last week’s shooting at the Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon.
Residents of Roseburg responded by accusing the President of political grandstanding and vowing to protest his planned visit. A Facebook page set up to protest against the visit features an image of a doormat which reads “Not Welcome”.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership: Permanently Locking In The Obama Agenda For 40 Percent Of The Global Economy

We have just witnessed one of the most significant steps toward a one world economic system that we have ever seen. Negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership have been completed, and if approved it will create the largest trading bloc on the planet. But this is not just a trade agreement. In this treaty, Barack Obama has thrown in all sorts of things that he never would have been able to get through Congress otherwise. And once this treaty is approved, it will be exceedingly difficult to ever make changes to it. So essentially what is happening is that the Obama agenda is being permanently locked in for 40 percent of the global economy.
The United States, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Brunei, Chile, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam all intend to sign on to this insidious plan. Collectively, these nations have a total population of about 800 million people and a combined GDP of approximately 28 trillion dollars.
Of course Barack Obama is assuring all of us that this treaty is going to be wonderful for everyone…
In hailing the agreement, Obama said, “Congress and the American people will have months to read every word” before he signs the deal that he described as a win for all sides.
“If we can get this agreement to my desk, then we can help our businesses sell more Made in America goods and services around the world, and we can help more American workers compete and win,” Obama said.
Sadly, just like with every other “free trade” agreement that the U.S. has entered into since World War II, the exact opposite is what will actually happen. Our trade deficit will get even larger, and we will see even more jobs and even more businesses go overseas.
But the mainstream media will never tell you this. Instead, they are just falling all over themselves as they heap praise on this new trade pact. Just check out a couple of the headlines that we saw on Monday…

Overseas it is a different story. Many journalists over there fully recognize that this treaty greatly benefits many of the big corporations that played a key role in drafting it. For example, the following comes from a newspaper in Thailand…
You will hear much about the importance of the TPP for “free trade”.
The reality is that this is an agreement to manage its members’ trade and investment relations — and to do so on behalf of each country’s most powerful business lobbies.
These sentiments were echoed in a piece that Zero Hedge posted on Monday…
Packaged as a gift to the American people that will renew industry and make us more competitive, the Trans-Pacific Partnership is a Trojan horse. It’s a coup by multinational corporations who want global subservience to their agenda. Buyer beware. Citizens beware.
The gigantic corporations that dominate our economy don’t care about the little guy. If they can save a few cents on the manufacturing of an item by moving production to Timbuktu they will do it.
Over the past couple of decades, the United States has lost tens of thousands of manufacturing facilities and millions of good paying jobs due to these “free trade agreements”. As we merge our economy with the economies of nations where it is legal to pay slave labor wages, it is inevitable that corporations will shift jobs to places where labor is much cheaper. Our economic infrastructure is being absolutely eviscerated in the process, and very few of our politicians seem to care.
Once upon a time, the city of Detroit was the greatest manufacturing city on the planet and it had the highest per capita income in the entire nation. But today it is a rotting, decaying hellhole that the rest of the world laughs at. What has happened to the city of Detroit is happening to the entire nation as a whole, but our politicians just keep pushing us even farther down the road to oblivion.
Just consider what has happened since NAFTA was implemented. In the year before NAFTA was approved, the United States actually had a trade surplus with Mexico and our trade deficit with Canada was only 29.6 billion dollars. But now things are very different. In one recent year, the U.S. had a combined trade deficit with Mexico and Canada of 177 billion dollars.
And these trade deficits are not just numbers. They represent real jobs that are being lost. It has been estimated that the U.S. economy loses approximately 9,000 jobs for every 1 billion dollars of goods that are imported from overseas, and one professor has estimated that cutting our trade deficit in half would create 5 million more jobs in the United States.
Just yesterday, I wrote about how there are 102.6 million working age Americans that do not have a job right now. Once upon a time, if you were honest, dependable and hard working it was easy to get a good paying job in this country. But now things are completely different.
Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs. Today, only about 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs.
Why aren’t more people alarmed by numbers like this?
And of course the Trans-Pacific Partnership is not just about “free trade”. In one of my previous articles, I explained that Obama is using this as an opportunity to permanently impose much of his agenda on a large portion of the globe…
It is basically a gigantic end run around Congress. Thanks to leaks, we have learned that so many of the things that Obama has deeply wanted for years are in this treaty. If adopted, this treaty will fundamentally change our laws regarding Internet freedom, healthcare, copyright and patent protection, food safety, environmental standards, civil liberties and so much more. This treaty includes many of the rules that alarmed Internet activists so much when SOPA was being debated, it would essentially ban all “Buy American” laws, it would give Wall Street banks much more freedom to trade risky derivatives and it would force even more domestic manufacturing offshore.
The Republicans in Congress foolishly gave Obama fast track negotiating authority, and so Congress will not be able to change this treaty in any way. They will only have the opportunity for an up or down vote.
I would love to see Congress reject this deal, but we all know that is extremely unlikely to happen. When big votes like this come up, immense pressure is put on key politicians. Yes, there are a few members of Congress that still have backbones, but most of them are absolutely spineless. When push comes to shove, the globalist agenda always seems to advance.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media will be telling the American people about all of the wonderful things that this new treaty will do for them. You would think that after how badly past “free trade” treaties have turned out that we would learn something, but somehow that never seems to happen.
The agenda of the globalists is moving forward, and very few Americans seem to care.

As we head into what is “scheduled” to be Obama’s final year in the White House, it pains me greatly to say there will be days ahead when many bloggers and alternative news sources like myself will have the opportunity to say, “See, I told you so,” multiple times in a single day as Obama plays faster and loser with the law. If Drake, the whistleblower in the post titled, Greatest Military Coup Ever Could Now Be Underway In the U.S., is correct with everything he said, or even most of it, the country is still going down in flames economically, but we might be able to salvage something. If he’s not right, God help us all.
So many people, present company included, did countless articles on the Trans-Pacific Partnership, and the effect it is going to have on Amnesty and jobs. If you are someone who was upset about Obama’s illegal amnesty, the TPP doubled the number of illegals coming in to about 10 million people. They will be coming from poorer nations too, like Vietnam, and be willing to work for less, driving wages even lower. More Americans will lose jobs, those with jobs will find themselves working twice as hard as they used to for less money.
Today, Obama and the team of clapping seals that follow him everywhere are working diligently to find new ways to take our guns. In the second video, the hosts refer to the TPP as the WORST thing to happen to the PEOPLE of the planet EARTH second ONLY to the Fukushima radiation leak pouring into the Pacific. The TransPacific Partnership (TPP) is the biggest ‘free trade’ (actually corporate-managed trade) agreement in the history of the world. It threatens the democracies of the 12 nations that might sign onto it, utilizing secret tribunals to enable corporate challenges of any law in the USA or Japan or any of the 12 signing-on countries.
Environmental laws, zoning laws, food standards, financial regulations, GMO labelling laws, etc., can be challenged in these 3-judge undemocratic behind-closed doors tribunals whose decisions cannot be appealed as there will be no higher court to appeal to, including our USA Supreme Court, as trade agreements supersede national laws and rules of any signing-on nation to the TPP. 12 nations involved are Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, USA, and Vietnam.

(INTELLIHUB) — While proponents of the TPP say the deal is ‘good’ because it reportedly will phaseout some 18,000 trade tariffs–skeptics like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I/VT) say the deal is outright “disastrous” and for good reason.
But even more important to point out is a hidden clause, buried deep inside the deal [TPP], which may effectively restrict aspects of the Internet in the near future. That’s right, after more than 5 years of strategic, intense, negotiations Trade Ministers from 12 Pacific Rim Nations, including the U.S., just concluded the first major hurdle of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), a move that may soon effectively change, limit, our use of the Internet as we know it. And believe it they know what they are up to. Although the plan still has to pass through a multitude of Congressional hoops Per sey–the Obama Administration still sees that the goal is within reach and will likely press hard in coming months to push it through.
The TPP, a deal, which blankets, a good chunk, nearly 40% of the world’s economy includes a few ‘controversial provisions’ recently outlined by Andrew Griffin below:
One particularly controversial part of the provisions make it a crime to reveal corporate wrongdoing “through a computer system”. Experts have pointed out that the wording is very vague, and could lead to whistleblowers being penalized for sharing important information, and lead to journalists stopping reporting on them.
Others require that online content providers — such as YouTube and Facebook — must take down content if they receive just one complaint, as they are in the US. That will be harmful for startups looking to build such businesses since they’ll be required to have the resources to respond to every complaint, experts have pointed out.
And it’s safe to say that Griffin’s analysis is spot on–even the Electronic Freedom Foundation (EFF) previously warned us of the TPP as early as 2013.
So where is all of this headed?
Internet Police, Thought Police, bans on free speech, an Internet kill switch you name it, it’s coming. Especially if we keep heading down the path mentioned herein. Soon we will all be slaves of our own environments–unable to do or think for ourselves. I guess if you really think about it in some ways we already are.
They already have us all boxed in, cornered into vast metropolises where everyone merely puppets, mimics, what is force-fed to them, what they see around them. The latest fads, trends, etc.–they all mean nothing. It’s just something to keep us distracted with while the birds of prey, the powers-that-be, do their job–which is nothing more than swooping in on our freedoms, deindividualizing us by micromanage our lives.
