The latest issue of Newsweek has a colorful take on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
The Republican real-estate magnate has had no shortage of inflated or controversial statements on the trail, and Newsweek featured several of them on its cover
The cover story itself addressed Trump’s improvisational style, which was described by The New York Times on Thursday as “post-policy.” The famous real-estate developer has spent the vast majority of his candidacy promising to “make America great again,” but comparatively little time explaining how, exactly, he would do that.
“Trump’s style is not calculated, but he understands—and always has—that his brand is all about the bombast,” Newsweek’s Bill Powell wrote.
Powell recalled reporting on another Trump cover story years ago:
One of the things I learned while reporting that cover story so long ago—and in dealing with him off and on over the years since then—is that a lot of what he says and does, he does with a subtle wink. It’s as if to say, “Look, I know that maybe you don’t think that ‘The Art of the Deal’ is one of the greatest business books ever written, or that this golf course I own or that hotel I just put my name on is the best in the world. But I say it anyway, because that’s just who I am, and it’s how I talk. And why should I change? Is it not working?”

Jeb Bush, the man who would be frontrunner, was as surprised as anybody when Donald Trump jumped into the 2016 presidential race in June. His instinctive first reaction was to hold his tongue, and his advisers agreed the best option was to keep his distance from an interloper who wanted to drag him into a reality-show shouting match.
Bush stayed strategically silent even when Trump delivered his infamous crack that some Mexican immigrants were “rapists.” It wasn’t easy, considering Bush speaks nearly flawless Spanish, backs comprehensive immigration reform and is married to the former Columba Garnica de Gallo of Leon, Mexico.
Like everyone else, Bush soon found Trump impossible to ignore. When Trump reposted a nasty tweet a couple of weeks after his contentious announcement speech— “Bush has to like Mexican illegals because of his wife”—the former Florida governor was forced to respond. “You can love your Mexican-American wife,” he told one interviewer before telling another that Trump was “preying on people’s fears.”
The half-dozen conservative senators and governors who had planned to run before Bush brought out his shock-and-awe fundraising campaign, had to laugh: They viewed Bush himself as an intruder, a political semi-retiree who sat on the sidelines for eight years while they fought Barack Obama. Now it was Bush’s turn to rage at an outsider.
“Seriously, what’s this guy’s problem?” he asked one party donor he ran into recently according to accounts provided by several sources close to Bush—and he went on to describe the publicity seeking real estate developer now surging in public polls far ahead of Bush and all the 15 others in the Republican field as “a buffoon,” “clown” and “asshole.”

The 2016 primaries ‘A-hole alert’

Donald Trump who excels at turning the tables on the mainstream media should do the same to the name-calling Jeb Bush and by association the haughty GOP masterminds running his wonky campaign.
Bush, who never saw a minority to which he could not pander, has called Trump, “a “buffoon”, “a clown” and an a#*hole”.
How sporting and gentleman-like NOT!
Trump should counter by getting his fans and supporters to issue what many use as a warning when the enemy comes into sight: It’s called the “A-hole alert”.
What’s the “A-hole alert”? Big Hint: Folk who get wind that Obama is headed to their hometown have been using the alert for, lo more than the long last seven years.
The A-hole alert is something that comes in handy when you spot the guy that leaves your eyes glazing over at the cocktail party or summer backyard barbecue.
It’s not buffoonish but politically acute and strategic to put the ‘A-hole alert’ into effect when GOP’s boy Jeb shows he’s not willing to play by gentleman rules.
Bush didn’t take Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus’ advice to candidates among the overcrowded presidential hopefuls to “not engage” Trump or trade “insult for insult” with the take-no-prisoners biz whizz who has GOP poohbahs like Fox News’ Karl Rove eating their proverbial hearts out.
No matter what Priebus proclaims, Trump doesn’t play nice with other Republicans because like many other folk, he’s fed up with their having thrown their lot in with the Obama Democrats and hiding comfortably behind the white flag of surrender.
It goes against the grain and sticks in the GOP gullet that Bush is not the frontrunner but non-politician Donald Trump is even with the all the mainstream media is doing to try to do him in.
What’s good for the goose being good for the gander doesn’t seem to be an axiom in the playbook of Jeb Bush.
The Establishment’s undies are in a twist that Trump gives as good as he gets. Patriots, including Tea Party conservatives, are enjoying the panic that comes from having their $100-million-plus funded candidate playing second fiddle to the lay-it-on-the-line real estate developer.
Good with the comebacks, Trump kept hold of his sharp-as-a-blade tongue when it was revealed that a pandering Bush is selling a “Guaca Bowle”—pronounced guaca-bowl-e, a bowl to make guacamole in for a mere $75, or enough money to buy guacamole ingredients for a year if you use a regular bowl like most plebs,” which Eater.com calls the “worse political swag of all time in the history of everything ever”.
“Perhaps what is most striking about the Guaca Bowle is Bush’s brazenness in renaming a molcajete — a tool that has been used by cooks for thousands of years — with such a lame pun, and then charging an exorbitant amount for it even though it comes without the traditional pestle. Best of all, it doesn’t even look like it’s branded, which means people will not be able to see just how obnoxious you are, thus defeating the purpose of buying a $75 single-purpose bowl anyway.” (Eater.com)
Perhaps Trump should keep Jeb’s “guaca-bowl-e” as his ace in the hole until Bush starts hurtling insults about his “bad hair hidden under worse hats” like Politico just did.
Meanwhile, some of us can’t wait until The Donald points out what is obvious to so many observers of the primaries. Bush, whose daddy, George was prez, and whose big bro George W. was prez, presumes that the Bush family owns the White House.
That makes Jeb Bush exactly like the Dem presumptive Hillary Clinton, whose hubby was prez, even though she led the henpecked Slick Willy around by the nose, who presumes the Clintons deserve ownership of the White House.
The only difference between Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush is that one’s a demon Democrat and he other a RINO, Republican in Name Only, neither needed by Americans after Obama’s massive plunder.
And that makes The Donald sounding the A-Hole Alert an absolute necessity.

Donald Trump’s Plan to Significantly Reduce Income Taxes
“Imagine your paycheck was 40 percent higher than it currently is”

Frontrunner Donald Trump’s plan to radically reduce income taxes will bolster his popularity with the American people.
In his book, “Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” published in 2011, and updated for the 2016 campaign, Trump put forward a plan to transform the government’s expropriation of income and wealth.
Specifically:
– $30,000 per year will pay 1 percent in federal income taxes
– $30,000 to $100,000 will pay5 percent
– $100,000 to $1 million will pay 10 percent
– $1 million or above will pay15 percent
“It’s clear and fair,” Trump wrote about his tax plan. “Best of all, it can be filled out on the back of a postcard and will save Americans big bucks on accountants and massive amounts of time wasted attempting to decipher the tax code.”
“Imagine your paycheck was 40 percent higher than it currently is. What could you do with 40 percent more wealth? How many jobs and opportunities for others could you create?”
“No doubt you work hard for your money — I know I do — and you should be permitted to keep more of it. Anything less creates a disincentive for a strong national work ethic,” Trump said.
The plan will abolish the estate or “death” tax, lower tax rates on capital gains and dividends, reduce corporate tax rate from 39 percent to zero to spur job growth, and implement a simple “1-5-10-15 income tax plan” to address and fix the country’s unfair tax system.
On Sunday Trump told CBS he pays as little taxes as possible.
“I fight like hell to pay as little as possible for two reasons. Number one, I’m a businessman. And that’s the way you’re supposed to do it,” he said. “The other reason is that I hate the way our government spends our taxes. I hate the way they waste our money. Trillions and trillions of dollars of waste and abuse. And I hate it.”

Why Obama and Hillary Must Stop Donald Trump at All Costs

Someone is getting very nervous.
Obama.
Valerie Jarrett.
Eric Holder.
Hillary Clinton.
Jon Corzine…to name just a few. And I know why.
I wrote a book entitled, “The Murder of the Middle Class” about the unholy conspiracy between big government, big business and big media. They all benefit by the billions from this partnership and it’s in all of their interests to protect one another. It’s one for all, and all for one.
It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich. Everyone except the American people. We get ripped off. We’re the patsies.
But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared. I’ve never seen them this outraged…this vicious…this motivated…this coordinated. NEVER in all my years in politics, have I seen anything like the way the mad dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump.
When white extremist David Dukes ran for Governor of Louisiana even he wasn’t treated with this kind of outrage, vitriol and disrespect. When a known fraud, scam artist and tax cheat like Al Sharpton ran for President, I never saw anything remotely close to this. The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened like never before.
Why? Because David Duke was never going to win. Al Sharpton was never going to win. Ron Paul was never going to win. Ross Perot was never going to win as a third party candidate. None of those candidates had the billion dollars it takes to win the presidency. But Donald Trump can self fund that amount tomorrow…and still have another billion left over to pour into the last two week stretch run before election day.
No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business and political elite understand that Donald Trump is no joke and could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart.
It’s no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy Donald. No this is a coordinated conspiracy led by President Barack Obama himself. Obama himself is making the phone calls and giving the orders- the ultimate intimidator who plays by the rules of Chicago thug politics.
Why is this so important to Obama? Because most of the other politicians are part of the “old boys club.” They talk big, but in the end they won’t change a thing. Why? Because they are all beholden to big money donors. They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, multi-national corporations like Big Pharma or Big Oil. Or they are owned lock stock and barrel by foreigners- like George Soros owns Obama, or foreign governments own Hillary with their Clinton Foundation donations.
These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money. But one man- and only one man- isn’t beholden to anyone. One man doesn’t need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Autoworkers, or the Teachers Union, or the SEIU, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign.
Billionaire tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help. That means he doesn’t care what the media says. He doesn’t care what the corporate elites think. That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests. That makes Trump a huge threat. Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slavemasters.
Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama? Don’t you wonder why Boehner and McConnell talk a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama? Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet they’ve never tried to defund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal Executive Action on amnesty for illegal aliens? Bizarre, right? It defies logic, right?
Well first, I’d guess many key Republicans are being bribed. Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed. Whether they are having affairs…or secretly gay…or stealing taxpayer money…the NSA knows everything.
Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that. The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money, from his own bank account. Trust me- the NSA, SEC, IRS and all the other 3-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader. They know everything.
Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called “racists.” So they are scared to ever criticize Obama, or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment.
Fourth, why rock the boat? After defeat or retirement, if you’re a “good boy” you’ve got a $5 million dollar per year lobbying job waiting.
The big money interests have the system gamed. Win or lose…they win.
But Donald Trump doesn’t play by any of these rules. Trump breaks up this nice cozy relationship between big government, big media and big business. All the rules are out the window if Donald wins the presidency. The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides. But not Donald.
Remember Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obama’s birth certificate. He questioned Obama’s college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university.
Now he’s doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do- question our relationship with Mexico …question why the border is wide open…questioning why no wall has been built across the border…questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests…questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes yet are not deported…questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad.
Donald Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick? Good question.
I’m certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michele Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare web sites. By the way that tab is now up to $5 billion.
Trump will ask if Obamacare’s architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying. He will ask if Obama himself committed fraud when he said, “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it.”
Trump will investigate Obama’s widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama’s college records.
Trump will prosecute Hillary Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover-up Benghazi before the election.
How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election.
Obama, the multi-national corporations and the media need to stop this. They recognize this could get out of control. If left unchecked telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Donald could wake a sleeping giant.
Trump’s election would be a nightmare. Obama has committed many crimes. No one else but Donald would dare to prosecute. Donald Trump will not hesitate. Once Donald gets in and gets a look at “the cooked books” and Obama’s records, the game is over. The gig is up. The goose is cooked.
Eric Holder could wind up in prison. Valerie Jarrett could wind up in prison. Obama bundler Jon Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money.
Hillary Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails …or accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State …or for “misplacing” $6 billion as head of State Department …or for lying about Benghazi.
The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison. Obamacare will be defunded and dismantled. The Obama Crime Family will be prosecuted for crimes against the American people. And Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters.
Trump will investigate. Trump will prosecute. Trump will go after everyone involved…just for fun. That will all happen on Trump’s first day in the White House.
Who knows what Donald will do on day #2?
That’s why the dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump. That’s why we must all support Donald. This may be our only shot at saving America, uncovering the crimes committed against our nation and prosecuting all of those involved.

Donald Trump: No more anchor babies!
Billionaire’s 5-point plan on immigration reform

Donald Trump has been criticized repeatedly, including by other Republican presidential candidates, for lacking specific prescriptions and details to back up his many generalized policy declarations.
However, largely ignored is that Trump’s 2011 book, “Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again,” contains 10 chapters of proposals for enacting policy changes on a host of key issues, including a five-point plan on immigration reform.
In one striking clarion call, Trump used the book to demand an end to the interpretation of law that allows for so-called anchor babies, where the children of illegal-immigrant mothers who give birth on American soil automatically become U.S. citizens.
“Some four million anchor babies are now officially U.S. citizens,” Trump wrote in the publication. “This has to stop. The only other major country in the world that issues citizenship based on where one’s mother delivers her child is Canada. The rest of the world bases citizenship on who the kid’s parents are, which is of course the only sane standard.”
The billionaire cited statistics documenting that as of 2011 some 4 million anchor babies were officially U.S. citizens and that illegal immigrant children “often require special classes and language specialists, and take time and resources away from our own students.”
He quoted reports from the Federation for American Immigration Reform, or FAIR, that documented U.S. taxpayers dished out about $52 billion annually to educate illegal aliens.
“The root cause of all the welfare payments to illegal aliens is the so-called ‘anchor baby’ phenomenon,” declared Trump.
“If a pregnant American mother is traveling to Egypt on business and goes into delivery, do we instantly declare her child an Egyptian? Of course not.”
He continued:
But that’s precisely what goes on every day in America: women who have zero connection to the United States cross the border, deliver a baby, and their kid magically becomes an American citizen eligible to receive all the rights and benefits of those who have lived, worked, and paid taxes in our country.
Trump posited the Fourteenth Amendment was never intended to confer citizenship upon the children of illegals born in the U.S.
That amendment states: “All citizens born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and the state wherein they reside.”
Trump maintained: “The clear purpose of the Fourteenth Amendment, ratified in 1868, three years after the end of the Civil War, was to guarantee full citizenship rights to now emancipated former slaves.”
“It was not intended to guarantee untrammeled immigration to the United States,” he wrote.
The billionaire businessman expressed support for previous discussion by Republican Sens. John Kyl of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina about introducing a constitutional amendment to “clarify and restore the original intent of the Fourteenth Amendment.”
In 2015, such bills were introduced by Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, and Sen. David Vitter, R-La., but neither has gone for a vote.
5-Point Trump plan on immigration reform
Trump’s 2011 book contained a chapter on immigration reform, replete with a policy blueprint he titled, “The 5-Point Trump Plan.” The full chapter was titled “It’s called illegal immigration for a reason.”
Here is a WND summary of those five points:
1) Build a fence, deploy 25,000 additional border agents, utilize Predator drones
Trump declared himself unimpressed “with the mediocre success rates of the current crop of virtual fences that have been developed and tested.” The reality television star is, however, “impressed with the success of the double- and triple-layered fence in places like Yuma, Arizona.” He called for a serious, layered fence or a wall separated by a 75-yard “no man’s lands” for border agents to operate.Trump additionally called for Congress and the president to “hire another 25,000 border patrol agents and give them the aerial equipment they need, such as Predator drones, to provide real-time aerial reconnaissance information to agents guarding the border wall.”He has since updated his border plan, adding that Mexico should pay for the construction of the new barrier.
2) Enforce immigration law
Trump decried Obama’s moratorium at the time on the deportation of illegal immigrants and the new policy of prosecutorial discretion, calling instead for the president to enforce existing immigration law.”This wholesale abdication of a president’s constitutional duties is as shocking as it is foolish,” he wrote of Obama’s actions. “It’s political pandering of the worst kind.”
3) No more cozy detention centers
“The third thing we need to do is overturn Obama’s insane new ICE recommendations for illegal immigrant detention facilities,” he wrote. “That’s right, your government now requires resort-like accommodations – paid for by you, the American taxpayer – to reward the flood of people entering our country illegally. Obama has turned America into a laughingstock.”
4) Oppose “DREAM Act”
In his book, Trump said he opposes the so-called DREAM Act and he lambasted sections which grant in-state tuition benefits at public colleges and universities, resulting in a situation where illegals may pay less that out of state U.S. citizens. He did not offer any suggestions in the book about deporting illegal aliens.However, he has since advocated the deportation of illegal aliens, while allowing some back into the country through an expedited process.On CNN New Day’s with Dana Bash, Trump stated, “I would get people out and I would have an expedited way of getting them back into the country so that they can be legal,” adding the “bad dudes,” such as criminal illegals, would not be allowed in.Asked about the so-called DREAMers, Trump stated, “On a humanitarian basis, you have a lot of deep thought going into this, believe me.
“I actually have a big heart, a lot of people don’t understand that. The DREAMers, it’s a tough situation. One of the things is we’re going to expedite – when someone’s terrific, we want them back here. But they have to be legal.”
When Bash pressed whether the DREAMers should be deported, Trump elaborated, “They’re with their parents, it depends. Look, it sounds cold. It sounds hard. We have a country. Our country is going to hell. We have to have a system where people are legally in our country.”
5) No future tuition benefits
He further said America’s next president must veto any legislative action “foolish enough” to grant tuition breaks to illegal aliens.
Slams Republicans and Democrats in immigration
Trump had harsh words for not only Democrats but “too many Republicans in Washington” who, he charged, “turn a blind eye to illegal immigration because some of their business supporters want artificially cheap labor.”
Liberal Democrats, meanwhile, “look on illegal immigrants as another potential Democrat voting bloc eager for their big government agenda of welfare handouts, class warfare, and ‘affirmative action.’” Trump charged.
“What do taxpayers get?” he asked. “They get the shaft.”
Echoing controversial statements he made about illegal immigrants when he announced his run for president, Trump first wrote in his book four years earlier that “I actually have a theory that Mexico is sending their absolute worst, possibly including prisoners, in order for us to bear the cost, both financial and social. This would account for the fact that there is so much crime and violence.”
Trump had stated during his presidential run announcement: “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”
In “Time to Get Tough,” Trump backs up his contentions on criminal illegals with cold facts, including statistics on U.S. gangs and a 2011 Government Accountability Office report that 351,000 criminal aliens were being housed in America’s prisons.
“We need a president who will get tough, enforce our laws, protect our people, and pull wages up,” he wrote.
Facing criticism
Trump has faced a barrage of criticism, including from some Republicans claiming he is short on actual plans.
“I think what they are is they’re hungry for someone who will tell them the truth and say Washington is broken and we really have to start over, have term limits, wash the place,” Sen. Rand Paul commented last week about Trump’s rising poll numbers.
“But we also have to have a serious discussion about how we’re going to do it,” he added.
Paul made light of Trump’s repeated vow to build a wall along the south-western border and “have Mexico pay for it.”
“I think simply saying the Mexicans are going to pay for it … we’re not going to fix the national debt by saying the Mexicans will pay for it,” Paul said, while urging more serious proposals.
Two weeks ago, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry also short-changed Trump regarding specific plans.
“Reality TV will gather a lot of interest and a lot of people enjoyed the celebrity of that, but for the last 14 years, I’ve had to live in the real world and deal with real world issues and come up with real world solutions. And that’s what the people I think of this country want out of the next president of the United States,” Perry said in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
