A Saudi Arabia-funded institute for interreligious dialogue in Vienna has ignited controversy among politicians and citizen groups alike. Austrian politicians have publicly asked how Saudi Arabia can have a dialogue center in Vienna and simultaneously persecute free speech activists in their own country.

The King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID), an institution financed by Saudi Arabia and politically supported by Austria, Spain, and the Vatican, has been facing increased criticism after the recent first round of punishment of Saudi activist Raif Badawi.

Last week Badawi, a 30-year-old blogger and freedom of expression activist, received the first 50 lashes of a total of one thousand to which he was sentenced for having equated the different religions in an article he posted. He is also sentenced to 10 years in prison and a substantial fine.

Badawi has been in jail since mid-2012, and his website has been shut down. His wife and three children are in exile in Canada.

The following 50 lashes, scheduled for Friday, were suspended for health reasons, according to the human rights organization Amnesty International, a fact that they said illustrates the severity of the flogging.

The Austrian section of Amnesty International subsequently organized a massive protest outside the Saudi Arabian embassy in Vienna, which was held on Friday.

The interfaith center itself has refused to denounce the penalty suffered by the young Saudi blogger, saying that “our impartiality is very important.”

Critics consider that the center, funded largely by Saudi Arabia, only seeks to improve the international image of the Arab country where there is no freedom of worship.

The Federal Chancellor of Austria, Werner Faymann, this week demanded the closure of KAICIID.

“This center does not fulfill its duties of dialogue and is silent on basic issues of human rights. We will not tolerate this. It is clear to me from today’s perspective that we should get out,” Faymann told the newspaper Der Standard.

The Federal President, Heinz Fischer, and the foreign minister, Sebastian Kurz, were also critical of the center but are not in favor of closing it.

The Cardinal of Vienna, Christoph Schönborn, has also come out against closing the center, saying he believes that the measure would be “counterproductive.”

According to a government statement, on Monday President Fischer requested full pardon for Badawi in a meeting with the Saudi ambassador in Vienna.

According to the Austrian president, Badawi’s case “roils and reduces the possibilities of dialogue” and the form of his sentence is “unacceptable” and “inhuman.”

Suspending Friday’s scourging was an “important step,” the minister said in a statement, but added that the whole sentence, including 10 years in prison and a substantial financial penalty, should be suspended.

Spain, Austria, and the Vatican are the political sponsors of the center.

Funded so far with about 15 million euros by Saudi Arabia, the KAICIID was opened in November 2012 in the presence of the foreign ministers of the partner countries.

Islamic CAIR to Breitbart Texas: Muslims Are Being Bullied

17 Jan 2015 by Merrill Hope

In a rare interview with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Breitbart Texas spoke with Alia Salem, Executive Director of CAIR’s Dallas-Fort Worth chapter about the controversy over Stand With the Prophet, the Islamic fundraiser held at the suburban Dallas public school-owned property, the Curtis Culwell Center. The main speaker, New York Imam Siraj Wahhaj, was an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center (WTC) bombing, who, although never charged, defended the convicted bomb plotters, called the FBI and CIA the “real terrorists,” made extremist, anti-American statements in the 1990’s, and said that he hoped all Americans one day would become Muslim. The residents of Garland were upset.

Breitbart Texas contacted Salem to get her take on the protestor’s rights to assemble on behalf of free speech. Salem felt media coverage had not been fair and wanted to tell her side of the story. Breitbart Texas may have disputed what the CAIR representative had to say, but this is what she said:

Breitbart Texas: This is about first amendment rights and free speech, no?

Salem: They are trying to get this event shut down so they are actually anti-free speech. They are calling the rally a free speech rally but it’s against free speech, in fact.

Breitbart Texas: How?

Salem: (no answer)

Breitbart Texas: Doesn’t the other side have the right to protest?

Salem: I’m 100% for them protesting. I don’t agree with how they view Islamic Muslims but they have every right. I am a patriot in all senses of the word and I believe in free speech and I believe in our right to assemble and I believe in our right to protest. I would never begrudge them that, ever.

Breitbart Texas: That’s what they are doing. Why do you feel that is “trying to shut you down”?

Salem: The last count I got was 200 people calling the school district trying to get it shut down and a lot of people went to the (school board) meeting, their open comments section; they voiced their displeasure and preference to not host this event.

Breitbart Texas: It was maybe five people. The Garland Independent School District (GISD) board president was very fair to your event. A few people spoke. He asked speakers not to say the same (complaints) over and only share news concerns about the event.

(Note: Breitbart Texas viewed the video of the event.)

Salem: I’m not saying GISD has not been fair. GISD has been very staunch in their non-promotion/defense of our right to be there. I’m not affiliated with the organization but they have dotted their I’s and crossed their T’s. They have in no way promoted but also honored the contract that was made.

Breitbart Texas: Why not have it at the Hyatt across the street?

(Note: Other Stand With the Prophet events have been held in privately-owned facilities, i.e., hotels or convention centers. Residents were concerned it the GISD event center paid for by a taxpayer school bond.)

Salem: If it wasn’t an event about Islamic Muslims, this would not be on the docket, I can assure you of that. The groups that are pushing this devote their time and energy to attacking Islam and Muslims. That’s well known.

Breitbart Texas: Is it? Which groups?

Salem: I have no problem with them not agreeing with Muslims, with them not wanting anything to do with Islam. Our country is founded upon our ability to make decisions, our freedoms our freedoms of choice, our freedom of press, our freedom to assemble, our freedom to protest. This is a country of freedoms.

Breitbart Texas: Then you agree that these people protesting also have the freedom to do so?

Salem: They have every right, but what they don’t have a right to do is to bully people in a way that is unfair and that people who are citizens of this country, who have on multiple of occasions, rented that facility with no problems whatsoever and now, all of a sudden, because the individuals who are trying to defame, discredit and attack upon the Islamic Muslims are pushing them to do this.

Breitbart Texas: Unfair how?

Salem: I do not believe that our citizens in DFW are doing this of their own volition and hatred towards Islamic Muslims. I believe this is something that is being instigated by others. However, there are individuals in this community who are misinformed. They are doing what they believe is their patriotic duty to speak against something they don’t believe in.

Breitbart Texas: By whom? Who are these groups or individuals, what you called “the bullies”?

Salem: (no answer)

Breitbart Texas: The people coming on Saturday believe this nation was founded on Judeo-Christian, not Islamic principles —

Salem : — Actually, it wasn’t. Our founding fathers were Deists. They weren’t Muslims, they weren’t Christians, they weren’t Jews.

Breitbart Texas: Really? You realize many Americans who would dispute that.

Salem: And I am sure you are going to publish that.

Breitbart Texas: You say you don’t have a problem with the protesting yet you say the protesting is “shutting you down.”

Salem: I am not disputing their right to protest.

Breitbart Texas: But you see that right to protest infringing upon your rights?

Salem: I never said that. You have to understand where I am coming from, the kind of hatred and vitriol and attacks I’ve received in this last week — death threats, threats to violence, threats to our community, direct death threats, threats of being blown up — so who’s the terrorist?

Breitbart Texas: From whom? What groups or individuals can you specifically name that threatened you?

Salem: They are individuals who are taking it upon themselves to share this information online and post on Facebook events. All over the place.

Breitbart Texas: Who?

Salem: (no answer)

Breitbart Texas: Do you think any of the world events that have happened, most recently, Charlie Hebdo, and the ungodly massacre of 12 in France over defaming the Prophet Mohammad (in a satirical magazine that lampoons other major religions too) has anything to do with how people feel?

Salem: Only because people choose to let it.

Breitbart Texas: What do you mean?

Salem: People who are God-fearing Muslims in this country have nothing to do with what some crazy people do halfway around the world. I’m not responsible for what those criminals and murderers did to those poor people. If our community members think it is okay to blame an entire group of individuals for something that terrorists are doing — I don’t care in what name they do it in — I don’t care if it’s the KKK, the Buddhists extremists, the Lord’s Resistance Army in Africa, a Christian terrorist organization, I don’t care if they are Boko Haram, I don’t care who they are — no group deserves to be blamed for what extremists committed whether it’s in their name or otherwise.

Breitbart Texas: But these terrorist acts were committed by Islamic extremists —

Salem: –One of the men who saved a number of Jewish individuals in the kosher deli was a Muslim man, Lassana Bathily from Mali. He’s getting awarded by the French. A Muslim police officer died at Charlie Hebdo’s office trying to protect people.

Breitbart Texas: Do you understand why the ‘protesters’ feel the way they do?

Salem: Absolutely and I completely sympathize with a lot of Americans who are concerned, they are afraid, all they hear in the media is “Islamist terrorist this,” “Muslim terrorist that,” extremist this.” If I was not in this community I could very well be one of them, one who is fearful of Islam and Muslims. What I don’t sympathize with are these malicious individuals who actually do know better, who spend their lives attacking Islam and Muslims.

Breitbart Texas : I’ll ask again, who do you mean? What groups? What people?

Salem: I’m an 8th generation Texan. I’ve lived here my entire life. Yes, I happen to practice Islam but I have as much right to be here as anybody else —

Breitbart Texas : Eight generations Muslim?

Salem: — and I have as much of a right to be afraid with them. If we don’t stand up together against hatred and terrorism and extremism in all communities, we will fail. We will continue to rip ourselves apart from the inside out. Next, it’s going to be Christians, next it’s going to be Jews.

Breitbart Texas: Next? Aren’t Christians and the Jews already targeted by Islamic extremism?

Salem: We have to stop the cycle of violence.

Breitbart Texas: Do you think that if more Muslim groups would stand up against the atrocities Islamic terrorists have committed it would help? We hear certain voices like Zuhdi Jasser every now and then —

(NOTE: The anti-Islamist Jasser, president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, has been criticized by CAIR as an Islamophobe or Islamophobia enabler as have other FOX News contributors Robert Spencer, Ayann Hirsi Ali, Brigitte Gabriel, and Pamela Geller.)

Salem: No, not every now and then, every single time there is an event in the world perpetrated by someone claiming to be Muslim, every single time, Muslim leaders stand up and denounce this.

Breitbart Texas: By who and when?

Salem: What happens is that it does not get any media coverage.

Breitbart Texas: Not even on MSNBC?

Salem: No. Not any of it. None of the news outlets.

Breitbart Texas: So which Muslim leader(s) stand up? When?

Salem: 120 major world leaders from the Muslim faith. It’s all online in the Open Letter to Al-Baghdadi.

(Note: The letter to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, ISIS leader, argues against ISIS as not legitimate in Islam. There are other other Islamic terrorist groups not mentioned i.e., Hamas, Hizbollah, Al Qaeda.)

Breitbart Texas: The Imam Wahhaj, has said volatile things about the West. Don’t those things bother you as a Texan?

Salem: (no answer)

Breitbart Texas: There is a breakdown in communication, why is that?

Salem: That is such a great question. Why is it there are leaders who are supposedly controversial have little snippets of what they said that have been taken — just that part from the entire speech and then they circulate it. It moves like wildfire through social media. Why is that?

Breitbart Texas: He said some vile things —

Salem: — This imam was listed as a possible person of interest in the 1990’s but he was never charged, never indicted, never had any legal issues whatsoever, and completely dropped off of the list. He has had amazing relationships with the NY Police Dept since the 80’s, in the 90’s he opened a session of Congress, has wonderful relationships with elected officials not only in NY but across the country and has been a leader in the Muslim community for decades. He’s been to Dallas-Fort Worth so many times, I can’t count on my fingers. He was here a week ago but nobody said anything.

Breitbart Texas: Did anyone know?

Salem: (no answer)

Breitbart Texas: What about the imam and anti-Semitism in the Muslim community?

Salem: Not in our community there is not. Are there Muslims who are anti-Semites? Yes. There are Jews who are anti-Semites. There are Christians who are anti-Semites. In our community we have amazing relationships with our Jewish brothers and sisters. One of my very best friends is Jewish.

Salem also wanted to “relate the love the Muslim Community” has for others in Dallas-Forth Worth. She said they would want nothing more than for (all communities) to come to the table together and bridge this gap of hatred and misunderstanding.

The conversation came full circle with Salem railing against the “protestors,” insisting “I can guarantee you, it will be nothing but hate. This is not free speech. This is about the protestors calling (Islamic Muslims) ‘evil infidels’ and using words that they think Muslims propagate. They will be quoting Koran verses out of context, they will be defaming individuals. It’s all about hate against Islam and Muslims. Mark my words.”

Another European Country Standing up to Islam and Crowds Grow as Signs Read “Islam is Evil”

January 17, 2015 By Ben Barrack

As Muslim countries attempt to exploit the Paris terror attacks to their own ends with the “Istanbul Process” to criminalize speech, it’s possible that they did not factor in the backlash from European countries in response. In the case of Czechoslovakia, a small crowd grew spontaneously into a rather large crowd that included signs demanding that Europe “wake up” and “Islam is evil” in response to the attacks on Charlie Hebdo.

According to on Czech report (translated):

At Hradcany Square in Prague on Friday afternoon brought together hundreds of people to the last events in France in particular have expressed their opposition to Islam. Demonstration organized by an association of Islam in the Czech Republic were attended by various celebrities. Anti-Islam protests in recent days occurred even in neighboring countries.

At the beginning of the event at four o’clock in the afternoon on the square hundreds of protesters gathered estimate, police estimated their number at 400. During the event, however, more people came and final participation apparently approached 2000. Various celebrities and organizers spoke to a spontaneous crowd assembled near the statue of Tomas Garrigue Masaryk. There appeared a very small crowd of supporters of Islam.

People brought banners that said things like, “Europe, wake up!” or “Islam is evil!” Opponents of the demonstrations, which were only a few, while on the banner brought Islam must sign in CR want. The event began with people exclaiming, “Islam in the Czech Republic we do not want!,” followed by applause and the Czech anthem performed by son Charles blacks and Deputy Dawn Mark blacks. Followed by a minute of silence for the victims of attacks in Paris.

“I do not see fascists and xenophobes, but met with the people who love freedom,” he said with strong applause, one of the organizers of the demonstration Martin Pot. The crowd, of which there was that Islam is terror, he uttered the words about how the government and the media in his lie when they claim that terrorists are “some bad Muslims”. Prophet Muhammad as “a sadistic psychopath” and alluded to “blind obedience to Islamic”.

“Islam against us since the seventh century by the war,” said Konvička. Muslims urged to leave Islam: Czechs is said then to take and protect.

Here is video from the protest and although it’s not in English, it’s easy to pick up on the sentiment and take in the crowd size:

Millions Of Muslims Rally All Over The Muslim World Declaring That They Want To Conquer Jerusalem And To Kill Christians

January 16, 2015 By Walid Shoebat (Shoebat Exclusive)

So lets see why millions of moderate Muslims just took to the streets all over the Muslim world. As we examine all these rallies we can see that they are not at all ticked off over the killing of journalists in France, Oh no. The media says it is over the cartoons which Hebdo drew making fun of their beloved prophet, yet it mattered nothing that they were killed for some silly cartoons. But there is more. The messages they give are simple to the point: the army of Muhammad is coming for you, the Christians, we want to reconquer Jerusalem, death to Israel, death to the Jews and we want a Muslim Caliphate.

This is it.

So lets take a tour and translate some videos that the media never translated for you as to find out what all this fuss is all about.

At first glance it seems like is that there are millions of Muslims who seem to have instantly been radicalized from being moderate and converted to radical Islam overnight. All over a cartoon?

First we will tour the Pakistani students that clashed with police Friday afternoon during protests that the news media is telling us is simply against the French satirical magazine that was attacked by Muslim terrorists last week for publishing images of the Prophet Muhammad. The demonstrators had a truck mounted with a loudspeaker. Here, lets translate from the first clip in Pakistan, then the second portion we can see from the moderate loving ally nation of Jordan where they were crying out “Jihad Jihad” and the third from the Muslim loving moderate nation of Turkey where they were chanting “death death to America” and “death death to Israel”:

There is little about cartoons and more and more about dead Americans and Jews.

The song echoing from the loudspeaker from Pakistan is a common one they love to use in demonstrations. The lyrics from the famous Sanahkoudu (we will march in battle) which is the anthem used by Al-Qaeda and ISIS regarding retaking Jerusalem:

The anthem sums up what they want and has nothing to do with cartoons or blasphemy of the prophet, here is a translation of the lyrics as the chant plays in the background:

“we’ll fight our battles with them,

we’ll go in multitudes to stop them

and we’ll bring back the taken right

and we’ll push them with all our power

with the cutter weapon of right

we’ll set the land of the free ones free

we will bring back the purity to Jerusalem

after the disgrace and humiliation

and we’ll keep destroying their strong holds

with a huge voice that kept worrying them

and we’ll wipe the disgrace with our hands

and with full force we repel them

we won’t accept any part being occupied

we won’t let an inch for humiliation

the land will revolt and burn them all

there are volcanoes in the land that are boiling”

It all has to do with applying pressure “with a huge voice that kept worrying them” in order to “bring back [Muslim] purity to Jerusalem”.

The reality is simple, it is not about cartoons, but is about using the cartoons to spark the “volcanoes in the land that are boiling” over Jerusalem vowing not one inch of land is to be given to Jews. Such “volcanoes” are the seas roaring in the Bible, the nations that roar over fighting against the Son of God and over His land: the holy Jerusalem. Christians need to wake up. Zechariah 12 and 14 is getting closer. Christians need to also be carrying banners warning the Muslim world with God’s message. To all Muslims, I warn you, the Lord, the God of Israel whom you abhor said:

“I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the Lord. “I will keep a watchful eye over Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the Lord Almighty is their God.’ “On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples right and left, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place. (Zechariah 12:2-6)

What we see all over the Muslim world is that the seas (peoples, multitudes and different tongues) are roaring in rage and foaming at the mouth in anger:

“Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging…. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts,” (Psalms 46:2-3, 6).

If one reads these passages, mountains are kingdoms and waters or seas with peoples, tribes, and different ethnic backgrounds are raging over Jerusalem and they fight against the Son of God denying His very essence while demanding we accept the essence of their false prophet.

A demonstrator in Pakistan with a sign that says “If you are Charlie then I am Kouchi” referring to the two Algerian background terrorists who killed Charlie Hebdo.

We see this everywhere. We see it in the clashes that broke out Friday afternoon in Pakistan started heading to attack the French consulate in the southern port city of Karachi and even shooting an AFP photographer in the back.

And what does shooting a journalist and all this song and dance about Jerusalem has anything to do with an anti-Charlie Hebdo sentiment? Or is it simply that they want to kill French and anyone who is a journalist since journalists symbolize the freedom of the press which Islam abhors.

“Three injured were brought to the hospital, two were minor injuries and one photographer was serious,” said Doctor Seemi Jamali, a spokeswoman for the city’s main Jinnah hospital, referring to AFP’s Asif Hassan, 38.

“The bullet struck his lung, and passed through his chest. He is out of immediate danger and he has spoken to his colleagues,” she continued, adding that Hassan was hit by what appeared to be a live round. They even injured a policeman and a local TV cameraman. All that violence erupted when protesters were prevented by police from approaching the French consulate, in the southern part of the sprawling metropolis.

Elsewhere in Pakistan, protesters in the northwest city of Peshawar and central Multan burnt French flags on the streets, while rallies were also held in the capital Islamabad and the eastern city of Lahore.

The banner says that “Making Blasphemy Cartoon of Prophet is the Wrost Act of Terrorism” and “THE SKETCH MAKERS MUST BE HANGED IMMEDIATELY”. Apparently, these demonstrators demand that Hebdo and the other journalists who were killed should still be hung while they are dead.

From the Philippines and Turkey to Kuwait and Mauritania, Muslims were in rage.

In Syria, the moderate Muslim children chant: “Ya Faransa Ya Yahood, Jaish Muhammad Saufa Ya’ood” (O French O Jews, the army of Muhammad is coming for you”:

That too is all about killing Jews, adding in the French as a bonus killing.

Once the demonstration calmed down a speech was given by a Muslim zombie giving a poem about Muhammad saying that “he opened the hearts, he opened (conquered) the world, and the tree branch cried for him and the stones cried out, and the camel even declared there is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger”:

A spitting camel can talk and even convert to Islam.

The demonstrations went all the way to the Philippines, here are the nice friendly Muslim girls there demonstrating;

I do not speak the language, who knows, these nice Muslim girls all of the sudden burst with Nazi style anger and I would not assume that they chanted “the only thing french that we like are croissants”!

And then we have demonstrations all over Egypt, where was the spark for the last demonstrations for the movie Innocence of Muslims, there the demonstrations in several parts of the country were amazingly not about the cartoons in France but calling to reinstitute Muhammad Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood. In Egypt the Muslim brotherhood want a Caliphate. I guess important things and higher priorities come first and the hell with the cartoons.

And in Algeria, the nice moderate sounded more like screaming demonoids. They carried a banner we translated from Arabic that says (as in all the other demonstrations) “I sacrifice my father and mother for you O messenger of Allah. If only they knew your mercy they would not have slandered you”.

Wow. Where was the mercy for the man who was killed for simply making fun of him? At 00:58, try to spot the ISIS flag:

I could even find demonstrations in remote villages downloaded on youtube. This one in a village called Talbisah, the demonstrators are going at it even in the wee hours of the night screaming “O France O Jews, Muhammad’s army is coming for you:

And of course in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount, after burning the French flag they chanted “to Jihad to Jihad” and “to die in the cause of Allah”:

The Muslim terrorists killed in the cause of a cartoon and now these guys want to die for the cause of Allah in Jihad warfare.

It is all rather confusing. What do these people want: is it for us to stop insulting their prophet or is it that they want Jihad, dead French and dead Jews? Or is it perhaps what they want is this: “accept our prophet as messenger of Allah” or “we will kill you”.
