(4 Day Event) Sep 23, 2016 - Dec 09, 2016

The purpose of this four-day series is to support K-12 personnel who are coaching the implementation of the California Standards and technology integration.  The information will be based on coaching research and will provide an opportunity for participants to develop coaching skills, network and share ideas, successes, and concerns.  Topics to be discussed and practiced throughout the four-day series include:

Understanding the six roles of a coach.

Building rapport/relationships with others.

Effective listening, paraphrasing, and questioning skills.

21st century professional learning.

Effective facilitation skills.

Demonstration lessons and content coaching.

Working with “interesting” people.

Coteaching and coplanning lessons with teachers.

Observation and feedback skills.

Providing network opportunities for K-12 coaches.

Integration of technology.

The training will be conducted using Evernote and Edmodo as technology tools in order to demonstrate how to use technology to assist with coaching and supporting the implementation of the California Standards.  Please bring your favorite technology device to the training.
