This independent bookstore was originally know as Biography Bookshop, and was located on the corner of Bleeker and Eleventh Streets since opening in 1984. With a change in location in 2010 came a change in name as well; the store is now known as bookbook. Nestled in the heart of Greenwich Village, bookbook carries recent and backlist fiction, children's books, travel, history, drama, cookbooks, art and fashion books, and more.
