Love It Art proudly presents the dual exhibition Modern Take: Photography and Painting. This virtual exhibition, on view now through May 18, 2016, will coincide with Love It Art's exhibit at the Affordable Art Fair in Hong Kong this May. The current virtual exhibition features contemporary landscape paintings and photography. The artists, Alice Yang and Luca Tombolini, each bring their unique artistic perspectives to landscape and open up new ways for viewers to perceive and understand it.

Tombolini's stunning large format photographs capture the dramatic yet tranquil beauty of the volcanic landscapes of Iceland. The way he highlights the textures of its lakes, glaciers and valleys makes them appear almost surreal. Tombolini is based in Milan, and his work has been exhibited internationally and has been featured by numerous media outlets.

Yang's paintings bring yet another approach to landscape. While her paintings are based on sites she has experienced herself, she transforms them through memories and a range of imagery, giving them a dreamlike quality. Starting from fragments of real landscapes, her paintings explore and push the boundaries between the real and the surreal. Yang is based in South Korea. Her paintings are in the permanent collections of SOMA Museum of Art and Songwon Art Center, as well as in numerous private collections.

The juxtaposition of the two artists' work provides the viewer with a new perspective on landscape. Both familiar and unfamiliar, their perceptions create an entirely new way of seeing.

Mina Fung, the owner and curator of Love It Art, has long been passionate about art, especially contemporary art. Her goal is to bring unique contemporary artworks by emerging artists to art lovers and collectors around the globe. She is committed to show exhibitions with a green global footprint. For this reason, most of the exhibitions are displayed in an interactive virtual gallery. Her gallery also exhibits art at international art fairs. Love it Art, operated mainly online, sells and ships the artworks worldwide.

To Fung, art is personal. She only curates and features high quality artwork that she would love to own herself. She selects only those artists who have a voice, have full control of their techniques and have regularly pushed beyond boundaries to create works that are unique and different.

The artworks in the Modern Take exhibition are stunning, especially when they're seen close up. Fung says that even though the paintings look impressive in the virtual gallery, they look even more spectacular in reality. She adds, "If someone likes a painting online, they will be in awe when they see it in person."

Through her virtual gallery, Fung strives to create as real an experience as possible. Even though the art is showcased online, the exhibit functions much like a physical gallery. Visitors can move from one image to the next, get a close-up look or step back for a more panoramic view, and get more information about any specific artworks.

There are even virtual "fellow visitors," who sometimes move across the room. If they should get in the way, they can easily be removed with a click of a button. One thing to keep in mind about the virtual gallery is that it can take up to a minute to load an exhibition during the first visit. However, on subsequent visits, it loads much more quickly.
