Glendale, Calif. -- For the second consecutive year, workers' compensation lawyer Leanna T. Der-Grigorian of ODG Law Group has been named one of Super Lawyers 2017 Rising Stars in Southern California. This is an exceptional and notable distinction because only a very small percentage of lawyers in Southern California are selected to appear on this list each year.
"It's a tremendous honor to receive this designation from Super Lawyers for the second straight year," Der Grigorian said. Super Lawyers is an attorney rating service, which comes out with an annual list of an exclusive group of lawyers in every state, who have gone through a rigorous nomination, evaluation and selection process. According to its website, the goal of Super Lawyers is to provide the public with a reliable resource to secure quality legal counsel. The Super Lawyers review board chooses attorneys who specialize in a wide range of practice areas. Lawyers who are chosen as Rising Stars must be under 40 years of age or practicing for fewer than 10 years.
Super Lawyers seeks nominations from lawyers in firms all over the country. It then conducts its own independent research on the nominees before making a final determination as to who should be on the list. Super Lawyers also publishes a digital magazine for every state, which includes detailed profiles of the rising stars and other top attorneys who have undergone a similar, rigorous screening process.
Leanna T. Der-Grigorian is the co-founder of Oktanyan Der-Grigorian Law Group. She received her bachelors in Communications Studies from UCLA in 2006 and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Loyola Law School in 2010. She began her legal career in employment and business litigation and later in 2011, started her own practice with her sister, Julie Oktanyan. Der-Grigorian head-started a workers' compensation department at the firm, which is now the main practice area for ODG Law Group.
As a workers ' compensation lawyer, Der-Grigorian says she is committed to providing injured workers and their families with the best legal representation possible.
