LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman recently stated that an incident involving two men getting hurt by a falling beam is yet another example of the need for stringent safety measures. KCRA 3 News reported the incident stating that the two men had been working at a construction site at Mather Airport in Sacramento County when the beams came crashing down. The news source could not provide information on the extent of the injuries.

The OSHA reported that more than 20 percent of all work-related fatalities in 2013 were employed in the construction industry and that one in five of the 4,821 reported fatalities in 2014 were also in the construction industry.The most common forms of injury in the construction business include slips, trips, and falls.
