This state of the art rehab centre has a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic physiotherapist Band 5. The post is a full time 37.5 hours per week working in the Physiotherapy team (new UK graduates awaiting registration welcomed). A comprehensive mentorship and competency program will be provided. The Chiltern Multiple Sclerosis Centre opened in September 2012 and is situated in the wonderful Chiltern Hills in the vicinity of Wendover, Buck’s. This state of the art neuro rehab Centre provides care management on an outpatient basis for all stages of Multiple Sclerosis. Facilities including; hydrotherapy pool, purpose built neuro-physio treatment areas, including dedicated treatment rooms gymnasium space with additional Multidisciplinary Treatment suits’. The Centre provides innovative multidisciplinary treatment strategies aimed at providing meaningful support in line with NICE guidelines to over 300 patients per week. The Centre is one of the most modern largest MS Centres in the country, providing balance training & re-education in the form of a structured falls prevention course, including progressive use of the Nintendo Wii for those patients striving to maintain and or, regain walking independence. Recent addition of a Pilates reformer programme is also intended to further support those patients in need of targeted exercise. Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy as well as Clinical Counselling is offered to support patients with known cognitive, and fatigue related problems and the introduction of aids to daily living linked to adapting lifestyles at home and work. This dynamic team of clinicians are seeking a mature individual who is capable of using initiative and organisational skills as the clinical team continue to refine care delivery in this fantastic specialist neuro rehab facility.
