Introducing the SYSTEM-1, a synthesizer that’s most likely unique from any encountered before. At its core is Roland’s new Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology, which is used to precisely analyze every aspect of analog circuits and then faithfully emulate them down to the finest details. This technology lives in the SYSTEM-1, creating a blending of beautifully classic and very modern synthesizer tones.
The SYSTEM-1 not only sounds incredible, but also has an extremely innovative design with performance-ready controls, sturdy construction, and a dazzling array of lights and knobs and sliders that proclaim unabashedly: “I am synthesizer. Hear me roar.”
The SYSTEM-1 is able to control—and even host—software replicas of classic Roland synthesizers. That’s right—the SYSTEM-1 gives users access to plug-in versions of legendary Roland synths, which can be hosted in the SYSTEM-1 itself, without requiring a computer. Users can even change between the SYSTEM-1’s internal tones and those of the plug-in being hosted. This wizardry has been dubbed “PLUG-OUT,” and it's pretty exciting.
Users will be excited too once they've experienced the incredible authenticity of the upcoming SH-101 soft synth, along with the SYSTEM-1 giving an intuitive and fully automatic one-to-one control interface that works seamlessly. The SYSTEM-1 looks beautiful, and is designed to function superbly with other AIRA equipment. On top of all this, users can connect the SYSTEM-1 to a computer through its USB jack to transmit and receive both audio and MIDI data, including MIDI clock data to sync with external devices and other AIRA units.
