If you like french fries then you’ll love these organic fries, absolutely delicious— and I mean delicious! And by using an air frier one can use little or no oil at all. Air friers are very new, but do a great job of making delicious healthy food which is low in calories and maintains all the good nutrition. And of course, one can also substitute organic potatoes for this recipe. But Chinese Wild Yams are full of great nutrition and can be found at Asian and Latin Markets. Remember Chinese Wild Yams are large, I’ve seen them as large as 20 pounds and that’s a lot of fries.

Wild Yam Fries – or Name’ Fries

Ingredients:

1 – Large Organic Chinese Wild Yam – also known as Name’ in Latin Markets.

Spray Organic Olive Oil – Use Very Little

Just a little bit of salt

Take the Chinese Wild Yam and cut it into french fry strips. One can buy french fry making devices that cut perfect french fries that are very inexpensive. Then just spray a little bit of organic olive oil on the strips and mix well. Use as little as possible of the oil because it adds more calories to the fries— Just a little bit of oil is all that’s needed.

Then place the raw fries in your air frier and set at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. At the end of 10 minutes remove from the air frier and pour onto a plate and move them around so they will brown on the other side. Then return to the air frier for another 10 minutes. When they are nice and golden brown all over they are done.

Add a little bit of salt and let cool and serve.

I have to say I love my air frier, and there are so many great healthy recipes for using an air frier. Basically, it just browns the outside of a food and makes them crispy— a convection oven can also be used.

I have to say, this is one of my favorite recipes!
