Is Trump Bringing Netanyahu to Heel and Substituting An American Colonial Empire in Place of Greater Israel?

Paul Craig Roberts

Last Tuesday Nima and I discussed whether Trump can break free from Netanyahu’s grip on America  https://www.youtube.com/live/4tun0-L8DJw .

Three days later, Professor Michel Chossudovsky sent me his interview by Drago Bosnia that provides a unique point of view into the mystery of what is transpiring in the Middle East  https://www.globalresearch.ca/video-trump-says-goodbye-to-greater-israel/5887309 .

Chossudovsky suggests that President Trump is deep-sixing Greater Israel and replacing it with an American colonial project in which Gaza becomes a US possession or territory.  The prize is the billions of dollars of gas reserves that run from Egypt’s border with Gaza to northern Syria.  Chossudovsky notes that the US embassy in Iraq and the one under construction in Beirut, Lebanon, are the two largest in the world, far too large for the countries and in fact are management centers for Washington’s colonial empire in the Middle East.  Chossudovsky reports that Trump has said “Good Bye Greater Israel.”  The area is now being organized into Washington’s colonial empire.

What Chossudovsky says makes sense and clears up conundrums that Nima and I struggled with. If Chossudovsky is on the money, this is a world changer. I wonder if Russia and China understand this?  Does Iran?  Turkey? Saudi Arabia?

Notice that in his White House press conference with Netanyahu Trump and Netanyahu falsify history and  the Gaza story  and praise one another.  But Trump’s praise for Israel is followed by Trump’s declaration that Gaza is to become a US possession —  https://www.globalresearch.ca/why-does-donald-trump-want-to-transform-gaza-into-a-u-s-territory/5879488 .  Trump’s praise for Israel is the sweetener for Trump’s declaration of the end of Greater Israel and the beginning of Washington’s Middle Eastern colonial empire.

Notice that in the question and answer session with the media following the speeches by Trump and Netanyahu, Netanyahu is asked if he accepts Israel’s loss of Gaza to the US.  He gives it a thumbs up. So it appears that a profit-making US neo-colonial empire, with the profits shared throughout the region, will replace Greater Israel.

It appears that both Washington and Israel consider the Diaspora of the Palestinian people and the termination of the Palestinian state to be a done deal and that the few Arab states that remain accept Trump’s plan.  The only remaining potential obstacle is Muslim Iran.  It would be pointless to consult Libya, Iraq, and Syria as these are no longer functioning states.  Perhaps Turkey is a wild card.  If so, Turkey can be won over by Washington’s betrayal of the Kurds.
