Rolling Stone published a February 28 story which featured North Carolina state senator Jeff Jackson (D) who vociferously blamed President Trump for the Jewish community center bomb threats around the nation. Bad timing for him because just three days later, on Friday, a suspect was arrested for the JCC threats. Very inconveniently for Jackson and many liberals the suspect, Juan Thompson, turned out to be an anti-Trump leftist. So what was the reaction of Jackson (pictured) and the Rolling Stone? Contrition? An apology? Naw. Complete silence.

Like much of the rest of the mainstream media as pointed out by Newsbusters’ Brad Wilmouth, Rolling Stone has avoided the topic of Thompson’s politics by simply not even mentioning him despite the fact that they featured a story on the JCC threats just days earlier. Fortunately that publication did preserve Jackson’s sick allegations against Trump in their earlier story upon which they have yet to offer a followup:

On Monday morning, the Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, received its third bomb threat in two months. This time, administrators were used to the drill. They didn’t even evacuate – just had law enforcement sweep the premises and went along with their day. State Sen. Jeff Jackson, whose son Owen is enrolled in pre-K at Levine JCC, learned about the newest threat on Twitter while in line for lunch at Chipotle.

That’s how routine bomb threats have become at Jewish Community Centers and the preschools many of them house; more than 100 such threats have been received at JCCs around the country since President Trump took office.

That was Rolling Stone writer Tessa Stuart insinuating that Donald Trump was somehow to blame for the bomb threats.

“We’ve had three bomb threats in the last five years, and they’ve all happened in the last 60 days,” Jackson, a Democrat who represents North Carolina’s 37th district, tells Rolling Stone. “Find me the person who thinks that’s a coincidence.”

He places the blame squarely at Trump’s feet. “Only one big thing has changed in American society in the last 60 days that would have any connection to this whatsoever,” he says.

Trump hating Juan Thompson doesn’t think it was a coincidence since it was part of his crazy plan along with framing his ex-girlfriend.

On Tuesday, at a meeting with state attorneys general, Trump seemed to shrug off the previous day’s spate of threats – 31 were received by 23 JCCs and eight Jewish day schools. “He just said, ‘Sometimes it’s the reverse, to make people – or to make others – look bad,'” Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro told BuzzFeed. Shapiro added, “I really don’t know what he means or why he said that.”

Jackson has an idea what Trump meant. “We know what he was saying. Of course he was suggesting that this is a false-flag operation and that Jewish people are faking bomb threats for political reasons,” he says.

Um…and Trump turned out to be exactly right. Thompson wanted to make his ex-girlfriend look bad and in the process if it also hurt Trump that was fine with the Trump hating Thompson.

“The man is a maniac,” Jackson says. “He has been deeply reluctant to address the surge in anti-Semitism that has paralleled his rise. That’s not a coincidence. … He understands that a large portion of his base is sympathetic [to anti-Semitism], so he is not going to say one word more about it than he absolutely has to.”

The maniac here is Jackson who with no proof falsely placed the blame on Trump. And now that the suspect turns out to be anti-Trump…silence from both fake accusations Jackson and the fake news Rolling Stone. Of course they are not alone. A quick check of Google News and you will see that both Juan Thompson and especially his leftist anti-Trump politics have been conveniently sent down the MSM memory hole. Juan Thompson was also noticeably absent on the Sunday news shows Meet The Press, This Week, and Face The Nation.

Although Jackson recently tweeted about the JCC threats, his twitter feed has now gone silent on the matter. As silent as the local North Carolina media who have yet to question their own state senator who was so vocal on this matter (until Friday).
