Clockwork Mania & N.U.T.S. Competed at FIRST Robotics World Championship

Orlando Science Schools FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team 4013 Clockwork Mania and FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team 5070 N.U.T.S.(Nerds United for Technological Superiority) competed at the FIRST World Championship held in St. Louis Missouri from April 27 to April 30, 2016. Qualifying for the Robotics World Championship is an accomplishment on itself, but qualifying in two different competitions on the same year puts Orlando Science Schools’ Robotics on a very exclusive club. Additionally, NUTS was a finalist for the Motivate Award at this year World Championship. Only 80 teams receive awards or are finalist at the World Championship out of over 4,000 FTC teams in the world, putting our team in the top 2% of all FTC teams in the world.

We are extremely proud of our robotics club and students. Clockwork Mania and N.U.T.S. were represented at the World Championship by Carlos Barea, Sebastian Orellana, Edwin Cruz, Martin Granger, Colin Chaney, Beth Martin, Alesha Webb, Daniella Gutierrez, Nikhil Mahalanobis, Nikhil Patel, Dennis and Camila Berrios, Ryan and David Varley, Mustafa Goktepe and Jovangel Ortiz. Please join the OSS family congratulating our robotics team members for their hard work and accomplishments.
