We may not dye a river emerald like Chicago or hold a four-day festival like Dublin, but there are plenty of ways to go green in Jersey. Throughout March, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day around the state with performances, festivals and even a kilt run.

Caladh Nua
A band with roots in the Southern Counties of Ireland, Caladh Nua is comprised of five musicians and singers playing a wide selection of instruments including the banjo, fiddle, guitar, bodhran, tin whistle and button accordion. The band performs traditional Irish music with contemporary flair.

Red Mill Museum Village St. Patrick’s Day

Allaire Village Historical Reenactment & St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Tensions rise in Allaire Village as St. Patrick’s Day approaches. The Irish immigrants are facing opposition from the English and French workers who don’t appreciate that only the Irish are given the day off from work. There will be reenactments in the chapel at 12 pm and 2 pm.

Skylands Stadium St. Patrick’s Day Comedy Night
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a sidesplitting, three-act comedy show and Irish-inspired dinner and drinks at Skylands Stadium. Then, laugh out loud with comedians Doug Karpf, Joe Bronzi and Johnny “Gemini” Lombardi.

Shamrock & Shillelagh Fest
The fest features U2 tribute act The Unforgettable Fire, New Jersey Celtic punk rock band The Skels and DJ Patty O’Furniture. Asbury Park comedian and musician Taylor Allen hosts the festivities. Come hungry for an Irish buffet featuring classic dishes prepared by The Anchor’s Bend. Fans of Irish spirits can enjoy the Jameson Lounge and Guinness Beer Garden.
