With the arrival of February comes the end of the winter transfer window and it can be said the Leeds United faithful have a mixed reaction on the business made by the club.

The Whites, managed by Garry Monk, currently occupy a playoff spot in the Championship, which can be considered a successful season to date – something that has been long overdue for the Yorkshire men.

Many of the club’s fans had wanted to see the iconic side strengthen their squad in order to push on, whilst also being able to convert many of their loan signings into permanent deals.

The first transfer came in the early part of the window when loanee Pablo Hernandez signed a six-month contract to make his stay in Yorkshire permanent, whilst it took Leeds until deadline day itself to confirm two more signings.

Alfonso Pedraza and Modou Barrow, Spain Under-21 and Gambia internationals, joined the club on loan moves from Villarreal and Swansea respectively to conclude their dealings this January.

The fans had provided a mixed view with the signings, but the majority were happy to add exciting prospects whilst also being able to keep their key players at Elland Road for the rest of the season, at least.

Some supporters shared the same opinion that the club needed to bring in a striker to provide cover, should Chris Wood sustain an injury, whilst others also echoed concern that the club missed out on a few players who were available to be snapped up.

Here is a selection of reactions, provided by Twitter:

@Radio_Yorkshire At least no key players left! Undecided over the two new boys but concerned with no announcment regarding Pontus! #lufc

@Radio_Yorkshire @LeedsUnited_MAD better than I expected. Would have liked a covering centre back and a experienced striker to cover Wood

@Radio_Yorkshire Happy! No major departures and Alf looks to have potential!

Note to self: avoid Twitter in transfer windows! Can't win with some #lufc fans

IMO was a decent window, why change what's not broken

Pleased with transfer window (except Mowatt) – glad Monk backed & got 2 players. But going to be terrified every time Wood is tackled! #lufc

Bogle went to Wigan, Taylor went to City. Clough to Forest. Missed out on some good players, going for peanuts this window #lufc
