Glad to see you guys are so passionate about the survival of the server! Anyway, here's some counter-points. I do agree that the downtime is ridiculous, but we can't have too many people in the console. If you have console you quite literally have the power to destroy the entire server, so we need to be very cautious about who we let in.

Yes I agree, considering that the dangers of giving people access to the console, 2 people from different timezones (who are active I'll add) is a safe way of maintaining the server. But in the current stage of the server, having someone available around the clock in the case of downtime may be beneficial, or either that have a script that automatically relaunches the server therefore not needing someone.

As far as plugins like mythic drops, I think that takes away what the main server is at heart, a freebuild. I could possibly see making the difficulty higher, but beyond that it would need to be a different server.

From what I can tell of the build server, it is suppose to be a survival server with a focus on building. We have residences that can disable monster spawns in areas which allows for building peacefully, but outside of these areas is normal survival, which would be better enhanced if it was more difficult. From my experience which consists over 1,000hours on the server, it might as well be peaceful, monsters are just annoying and not fun in this current stage.

Regarding performance...
What we have to always keep in mind is this is still ultimately Chekkaa's server, which he graciously provides to us even though he hardly uses it. There can definitely be some internal things, like combining hub/build and decreasing loaded worlds, but as far as a new machine it's just not practical, especially with the current number of players.

Yes this is Chekkaa's server, however a move is not required as long as we focus on optimizing the setup we have. Like moving servers together to make one server entity (E.G Moving Hub and Build together. Moving the minigames together into one server.) Less server entities = more server side performance. However, we need to learn what the current server specifications are to be able to make the right decisions for our home so to speak.
