The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Division of Clinical and Neuropsychology, at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA, invites applications for a full time, 12 month, Psychologist position at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level (without tenure) commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position will be in the clinical faculty pathway and situated at Harborview Medical Center (HMC).
HMC is the only designated Level I adult and pediatric trauma and burn center in the state of Washington and serves as the regional trauma and burn referral center for Alaska, Montana and Idaho. UW Medicine physicians and other health professional based at Harborview provide highly specialized services for emergency medicine, orthopedics, neurosciences, ophthalmology, vascular surgery, behavior health, HIV/AIDS, complex critical care and rehabilitation. Harborview also serves as the Disaster Medical Control Center for Seattle/King County. U.S. News & World Report has ranked Harborview among the nation's top hospitals in rehabilitation medicine, neurology, neurosurgery, geriatrics, and sports, spine and orthopedic care.
The Clinical Faculty member will spend 50% of their time on the Rehabilitation Psychology Consultation Service and the remaining 50% on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and/or Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program (CORP). The consultation service is a thriving service providing psychological assessments and interventions to patients in nearly every unit of the hospital including Burn, Pediatric, Trauma, Medicine, Neuro and Pulmonary ICUs, and Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Neurology, General Surgery, and Medicine Inpatient Units. The Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is a 28 bed unit for patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral vascular accidents, aneurysms, burns, polytrauma, and chronic debilitating illnesses. The CORP program provides comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services to patients discharged from the hospital, especially the rehabilitation unit. This person will also provide supervision and training for our APA accredited Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship Programs. Our predoctoral and postdoctoral training programs in psychology date back over 20 years and are very strong, well-integrated parts of our department and hospital.

Candidates are required to have completed a PhD/PsyD or equivalent degree and internship in an APA-accredited program. Fellowship training in rehabilitation psychology or clinical health psychology is desirable. Must be licensed or license eligible in the State of Washington.
