Top five tips for the weekend Cup action.

The prices below (best price in brackets) are taken from wasere.com (see price table below) and are correct as at Friday May 20, 3:00pm.

FA Cup – England

Crystal Palace – Manchester United: Draw (wasere.com 3.50)

When United lifted the FA Cup at Palace’s expense in 1990 it launched a remarkable 23-year-run of success under Alex Ferguson; but for Louis van Gaal it may only be a triumphant swansong.

This is likely to be the Dutchman’s last match as United manager and both he and the club’s fans will need his team to beat the Eagles and draw level again with Arsenal as record 12-time FA Cup winners, but will it be that possible?

Anthony Martial

The Red Devils were the better side against Palace when they last met at Old Trafford, the victory margin of 2-0 flattering Alan Pardew’s side, and United has generally been in a better form in recent months.

United is eager to win a trophy, having only won the Community Shield since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure. Although the FA Cup is not a top priority, they definitely will be seeking to win it.

Palace will need to stay compact at the back, and score goals when they go forward and to do this, they have to function as a team. Wilfried Zaha should be the main threat upfront, as he faces his former side.  Allan Pardew’s side has only managed two clean sheets in 19 encounters and will have to be at its best to shut out United.

Draw at 90 minutes; Manchester United  to win in overtime!

Coppa Italia – Italy

Juventus – AC Milan: Juventus (wasere.com 1.53)

After an uncertain start, Juventus has enjoyed another terrific campaign and will seek to add the Coppa Italia to its Serie A success by beating AC Milan in normal time.

Having reached the 2015 Champions League Final, Juve went off the boil at the start of this term but from November onwards produced a fantastic winning run through to the end of the season, resulting in another domestic league title by a margin of nine points over runners-up Napoli. Massimiliano Allegri’s side  has won each of the past seven meetings between the sides and are clear favorites.

Four managers have come and gone since Allegri’s departure from Milan, and a rather inexperienced Cristian Brocchi is now tasked  with revitalising a team that has shown little improvement in its past six outings.

With just two wins to his name in six matches, Brocchi is unlikely  to arrest his team’s alarming losing streak against the Old Lady.

Apart from a shock recent defeat to relegated Verona after the title had already been confirmed, Massimiliano Allegri’s side has been irresistible domestically and we will back them to win in 90 minutes.

Draw at 90 minutes; AC Milan  to win in normal time!

DFB Pokal – Germany

Bayern Munich – Borussia Dortmund: Bayern (wasere.com 1.92)

Pep Guardiola can exit Bayern on a high by completing a second league and cup double in his three seasons with the club in the DFB-Pokal final.

Guardiola, who leaves for Manchester City this summer, has already secured a Bundesliga hat-trick with Bayern and now aims to consign the Black and Yellows to playing second fiddle again in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.

Bayern vs Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund has a chance to take a bite off its rivals Bayern Munich when they face off. Dortmund finished its season in disappointment after they failed to win their last two Bundesliga games.Dortmund were the highest scoring team in the Bundesliga this past season with 82 goals but not as good as Bayern Munich; their total defeats summed 7 for the season.

In DFB Pokal, both teams have been in an excellent mode, they have won their last 5 games.

Although these are far and away the two best teams in Germany, there remains a significant gap between them and with Guardiola not having won the Champions League during his three years in Munich, he will want to bow out in celebratory fashion.

Draw in 90 minutes: Bayern to win comfortably in normal time.

Coupe de France – France

Paris Saint Germain – Marseille: PSG (wasere.com 1.32)

Paris St-Germain won Ligue 1 in historically quick fashion and, in the process, banked 30 wins, 102 goals and lost just twice with a goals conceded rate of one per two games played.

Les Rouge-et-Bleu therefore are just one game shy of capping a fantastic domestic season in what will be Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s last match with the club.

Action during the last meeting between PSG and Marseille

The Parisiens also have impeccable recent head-to-head form against Marseille, with six wins from their past six games and 13 goals scored against five conceded.

Marseille will look to Scottish striker Steven Fletcher for goals, with Fletcher having  scored his second Ligue 1 goal for Marseille in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with lowly Troyes and will hope to keep his place in Passi’s attack, alongside the considerably more prolific Michy Batshuayi.

Would betting against PSG therefore be the equivalent of betting against death and taxes? Yes!

PSG to win comfortably in normal time.

Copa del Rey – Spain

Barcelona – Sevilla: Draw (wasere.com 7.25)

Luis Enrique’s men secured the La Liga title in the last round of the season with a comfortable victory over Granada, making it four in a row to continue their dominance of Spanish football. In many ways, it felt like the second time they’d won it this season.

A few weeks ago, they were eight points clear and it was as good as done. Three defeats in four games gave Real Madrid and Atletico a sniff though and it was relief all round for Barcelona on Saturday.

Barcelona players celebrate a goal

Now, to give this season a satisfying sign-off, they need to win the Copa del Rey on Sunday. It wasn’t to be in the Champions League this season, so a domestic double is the best they can hope for.

This could all change given Sevilla’s confidence after the Europa League final victory against Liverpool and who knows what kind of fight they can put against the Catalans? One thing for certain is that they’ll find Barcelona tough to break down.

The Spanish Champions haven’t conceded a goal for five La Liga games, scoring 24 goals in the process. 14 of these goals have been scored by the unstoppable Luis Suarez. The former Liverpool man has been in supreme form during the title run-in.

We’ve got a gut feeling that the 2016 Copa del Rey final could belong to Messi though. He’s been overshadowed by Suarez in recent weeks, but on the big occasion of a domestic final – he could be the difference.

We are backing a draw in 90 minutes with Barcelona  to win over a tiring Sevilla in overtime!
