A house has caught big fire in Chenchenia, Kaduna road in Niger state, on Thursday, October 27.

According to Emmanuel Asika, the eyewitness of the incident and the Naij.com reader, there are no fire services in the area and people had to take matters into their own hands.

Fire in Chenchenia, Kaduna road
The fire was passing through the house located on Yakubu Hadeja street and almost spread to the neighbouring houses and shops but for the locals who used a detergent and water from the nearby well to fight it back.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
