The 6th Vienna Music Business Research Days 2015 focus on “Financing Music in the Digital Age”. International experts and academics discuss new and alternative revenue sources for the music scene such as music streaming for the classic music business, crowdfunding and business angel funding.

Michael Breidenbrücker who co-founded music streaming service LastFM that was sold for US $280m to CBS Interactive in 2007 is now a business angel investor with focus on the music industry. He will participate on the panel on “Music Start-up Funding in the Digitized Music Economy” in Joseph Haydn Hall from 15:15-16:45 on Oct. 1, 2015.

Michael is a serial entrepreneur who founded companies such as Last.fm and RjDj. You will find him either in the London startup scene or skiing and snowboarding in the Austrian mountains.

Michael co-founded Last.fm Ltd. and managed  the company as CEO from 2002 until 2005. His approach in combining music discovery, online radio and social software was awarded in Europe and the USA and brought the company to the attention of millions of consumers, global media and global players. In 2008 Michael founded Reality Jockey Ltd. which published several super innovative, world wide top 10 iOS applications such as “RjDj”, “Inception The App”, “Dimensions the game” or “The Dark Knight Rises Z+”.

Michael is Partner of Vienna based venture capital firm Speedinvest and also served on the board of 42Matters AG. He is founder of Speedstartstudio.com and an active angel investor and advisor to technology startups.
